Single supplement for lone divers £200 extra.

10 and 14 nights holidays are available and there are no set check in dates. Contact us with your preferred dates and we will check availability for you.

Our apartments are close to Central Hurghada with all bars, restaurants and supermarket within 5 mins walk away. We will also give you lots of recommendations.

The Diving is done from our boat which had great safety standards and comfortable amenities. You will dive in a maximum group of 4 people with our professional registered Instructors who know every inch of the Red Sea.

After completing your Open Water Course you should be ready to go onto the boat and put everything into practice.

One of the most common mistake people make is, doing your course and then not diving. We always recommend you do at least two days on the boat after the course to gain experience, put all your have learnt into practice. To reinforce the training you have received.

Those that sell you course after course or only sell courses and not guided experience dives after are people to be avoided at all costs. We have received many of them in Hurghada and it’s a big reason why we have changed our policy on daily fun dives.

We also suggest you doing your course over 3 full days, 8hrs a day. If you leave weeks in between sessions, maybe you will forget things right. We have seen a lot of this.

Scuba is like learning to ride your bike, you spend two or three days learning not to fall off with you mum or dad helping you. Then you practice. If you don’t, your chances are very high to fall off again if you don’t try it for say one year.

We also advise you dive at least every 6 months, this helps keeps information/skills refreshed and will stop the need for a refresh before you go diving again.

Diving Hurghada - minimum requirements to join daily fun dives in Hurghada, Egypt.

Diveukhurghada.co.uk take the welfare and safety of all guests very seriously. It’s our priority. To that end, we expect all divers to be able to perform the basic of a Open Water Diver:

Pass a self declaration medical
Set up your own equipment and perform all necessary checks confidently.
Enter the water, decend, and ascend safely.
Maintain good buoyancy control.
To be able to dive in a group, confidently and with no safety concerns or assistance.
Understand all safety procedures related to diving.
Listen and take note of boat briefings and dive briefings and be able to follow Dive UK Hurghada safety procedures.

Should you be a nervous diver, had a bad experience, not be competent in all of the above. We can still help you. Over the years we have helped hundreds of people back into the water after long breaks, bad experiences and other issues. It’s something we love to do. To be able to give you the time and attention you deserve and the best chances to succeed, considering your safety and others. You will need to take a private guide who will be an Instructor who will assist and help you with anything Scuba related.

We have found people find the above very beneficial and can then further dive in a group after just one day. Safety and enjoyment put as priority.

Not dived for 6 months or more? You will need to complete a refresh with an Instructor for one day before being allowed on the boat. This is for your safety, the safety of other guests and our team.

Our 100% safety record in 7 years is precious to us, 1000’s of divers have gone home safely to their family’s after enjoying the Red Sea with us. We will continue to do everything in our power to make sure it continues.

Private Guide - £50 per day.

Fun Dives and Packages:

1-2 days £75 pp per day.
3-4 days £70 pp per day.
5 day package £325 (extra days £60per day) must be consecutive.

The changes we are making:

Teaching ratios:

Any student 14 or under, will only be taught on a 121 basis with our team of Instructors

15 and 16 year old’s will be a maximum of 2 students to one Instructor.

Above the age of 16, will be a maximum group of 2 students to 1 instructor with one exception below:

If a family of 4 wish to learn together we will do so. We will not group other people into a group of 4.

Transfers for diving:

We will no longer allow divers to make their own way to the boat. Our drivers will ensure you arrive on time and at the correct location to meet your Instructor.

We will continue to offer free transfers in central hurghada but those hotels outside central will carry a small charge as always.

Daily fun dives:

We will strictly enforce a maximum of 4 qualified divers with an Instructor.

We hope you can see why we are making some small changes, we have a 100% perfect safety record with zero accidents and it’s something we are very proud of. We will continue use Instructors for guiding and all activities as we believe the safety of our customers comes over reducing staff costs.

While we are not the cheapest of dive centres, we continue to strive to deliver a 5* service and charge accordingly. We also pay our staff correctly to ensure that 5* service is delivered which we strive for on all occasions.

The PADI Open Water Course - Can anybody complete it?

The short answer is yes BUT over the years we have found some cannot for several reasons.

The course is 3 days of skills and practice with an Instructor. Those that have not managed to complete the course usually have 1 or more of the below issues:

Being pushed into the course. If you don’t really want to do it. Don’t.

Those that are not confident swimmers usually struggle.

If somebody is too young. Not mature or strong enough.

Scared of the water.

We expect all students to have some nerves, trying something new right. It’s normal and a good thing to have a few nerves. Those that are over confident often don’t do so well.

To get the best out of the course we only teach 2-1 unless it’s a family. We also teach from shore and not a boat, your learning environment is important, boats are busy and lots of people. The shore we have our own space. Plenty of time and no rush.
