🔎With the clients ankle dorsiflexed and the toes extended, apply the ‘I’ Strip of tape to the calcaneus (heel) through to the calf,
with little stretch (5-10%).
🔎The second piece (Y-Strip) needs to be applied to the calcaneus. Start with applying the thicker end to the calcaneus and the two single tails are applied either side of where the ‘I’ strip was applied with 75% tension.
🔎Lastly, apply a small ‘I’ strip across the area of pain, with 75-100% tension, and zero stretch at the end.
Please do drop a message if you have any questions on regarding k-tape or if you are experiencing any pain or tightness, as this could be extremely beneficial to you ‼️

📚 Kinesiology Tape (K-Tape) is a thin, flexible, elastic cotton strip with a “sticky” adhesive that is used to help relieve pain, reduce swelling and inflammation, increase mobility, provide support to joints and muscles and enhance recovery.
🔎K-Tape also helps the lymphatic system. It helps to drain waste products like lactic acid, which an athlete’s hard-working muscles produce. This helps muscles perform better for longer periods.
🔎K-Tape lifts the skin and fascia, allowing more blood to enter the tissue in the area, this reactivates/enhances the healing process. Also offloads the joint/area, preventing the damaged tissue being overloaded, allowing it to heal.
🔎Tape can be used to prevent or treat common muscle and joint related injuries such as:
- Muscle strains
- Sprains
- Subluxations
- Tendinitis
K-Tape provides pain relief and support before, during and after an activity.
Are you expecting any of these? Will this be beneficial to you?
