⚽ Pep Guardiola will be remembered as one of the most influential managers in Premier League history.
His Manchester City teams dominated English football with control, possession and tactical innovation. But his philosophy did not appear from nowhere.
It was shaped by Johan Cruyff, La Masia, Italian football, Carlo Mazzone, Andrea Pirlo, Roberto Baggio and the great Barcelona side built around Xavi, Iniesta and Lionel Messi.
At City, Guardiola turned those ideas into a more systematic style based on positional play, structure and collective creativity.
But did that make football more beautiful, or did it make attacking play too controlled?

🏴 Glasgow is getting ready to host the Commonwealth Games again.
The 2026 Games will run from 23 July to 2 August and will look very different from recent editions.
Instead of a huge, expensive event, Glasgow 2026 will use existing venues, a tighter schedule and a smaller sports programme.
There will be 10 sports, six integrated Para sports and around 3,000 athletes from up to 74 nations and territories.
Tickets start from £17 for adult non-medal sessions, while medal sessions start from £26.

🔥 WWE Raw had plenty to unpack after Clash in Italy.
Jacob Fatu’s Bloodline moment with Roman Reigns raised more questions than answers. Oba Femi looked dangerous again after his loss to Brock Lesnar.
IYO SKY moved forward in the Queen of the Ring tournament, while Seth Rollins defeated Bron Breakker in a main event that may only be the start of the next chapter.
Turin also deserves huge credit. The crowd made Raw feel like a major event from start to finish.
