Solstice greetings ✨
A time to go inwards, rest, reflect, release and let go to make space for new things to come in. This week, I joined and .points.north for a truly beautiful winter solstice gathering of wonderful women. We shared, connected, cried, set intentions, danced, crafted, sang under the moon, it was pure magic. I was blown away by everyone’s willingness to be so vulnerable and the support of other women. When we come together we are so strong.
It’s been a year! Full of challenges but balanced by moments of love and magic. Thank you if you’ve come to one of my classes this year and to my wonderful teachers, forever grateful 🌱

A reminder that you are not your thoughts. A recent theme in class has been to watch our thoughts and try not to attach to any thoughts that arise (on and off the mat). Pay attention to particular thought repetitive patterns (which could’ve been playing for years). Try to be impartial - do not judge or condemn. The aim is to to create space and all the things that truly matter arise from beyond the mind - beauty, peace, joy, love, creativity 🌸

Raise your vibration ⚡️
This week we practiced loving-kindness meditation (LKM and also known as Metta) in class which is an ancient Buddhist practice that cultivates goodwill and universal friendliness toward oneself and others. It’s raises your vibration and according to SCIENCE reduces self-criticism, enhances wellbeing, reduces cellular ageing (yes please), reduces pain, improves relationships and overall mental health. To practice, get comfy, close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath. After a few moments, repeat the mantra to yourself “I am happy, healthy and whole”. Come to think of someone you love dearly but not romantically linked such as a child or a pet and repeat the mantra “they are happy, healthy and whole”. Now think of someone you’re having difficulties with recently and repeat the mantra “they are happy, healthy and whole”.
How does it feel? 💕🥰
