After a little break the boys in Orange were back against Former Semi-Pro team London APSA.

In the soaring heat the boys put up a good fight. We contained the oppisitions as long as we could. But on this day, APSA were just too good.

Lessons need to be learned, and we must improve in our forthcoming game

A Season to Remember

We kicked off of the season in the worst possible way. A defeat from 3-1 up. Putting us in 7th

The doubters were against us, and said Mile End East FC will get battered 11-0 every game.

The defeat did not hold us back. We went on a 5 game unbeaten run and steadily climb the table. Suddenly, our run comes to an end with another defeat, and a huge blow to our title charge.

The following week, we grab three points against London United. Just before the government announces another Lockdown.

We restart the season in April 2021, and go on a 9 game win streak against; , (double header), SP Utd, , , and Redbridge.

It's official Mile End East FC are the ILFL WINTER LEAGUE 20/21 1st Division CHAMPIONS.

We finish off the season against , which ends in a 9 goal thriller, & a Guard of Honour for the Champions.

This season had a lot of ups & downs, and we thank for organising this wonderful competition.

The Champions vs Promotion chasers.

did not give a guard of honour. Which was quite disappointing. No respect in todays game.
Credit to who tried his best to do so. 👏🏼

The boys in Orange suffered their first loss since December 2020. A rotated squad with our 1st choice GK at CAM, our CDM in GK, both LB's on the Wing, and our ST at CM 😅.

This was a chance for players to step up in different positions.

We started off terribly conceding 2 goals. Both goals from outside the box. The players were either asleep or 'On the Beach'. A quick sub in the first half and we pull a goal back from the Beast .

First Half finished 2-1 to Union Canal.

Second half and we conceded a disastrous goal. 3-1. Couple of minutes later Khalifa scores another goal. Which puts him as the Top Goalscorer.

Another slip up at the back allows Union Canal to score a forth.
Deep into the second half, .ali1194 comes with another wonder goal from 40 yards out. This guy will either Assit or score Bangers.

Straight from kick off, Canal scored from the half way line. 5-3.

Just before the game is finished. Mizan whips in a brilliant cross, beats the defender & Ayman connects to it.

5-4 to Union Canal. We may have lost, but what an entertaining game.

After a two week break, the boys in Orange were back against a determined Redbridge side.
Last time both teams met in December, Redbridge left with the three points and put a massive dent in our title challenge.

The stage was set, a win or draw, and we become ILFL WINTER LEAGUE 1ST DIVISION CHAMPIONS.

Within the first 20 minutes, Mile End East were down 2-0. Misplaced passes, aimless shots, poor communication.
Was this Déja vu all over again?

Sunday was not the day we gave up, and we had to show why we deserve this league title.

An inch perfect corner from Mizan, into the head of Big . His first goal for the club (took him long enough).

2-1 and the half time whistle has gone. Words from the Gaffer and the Captain to step up.

A few minutes in, a stunning free kick from .ali1194 perfectly lobs the keeper. 2-2 and its game on.

Chances created but no goals unfortunately. It was time to make some changes

Minutes pass by, A through ball by into the feet of The Moroccan Wizard , scores the third goal.

Minutes before the full time whistle, wins a loose ball, passes it to . Dribbles and shoots..... Silence....... And its in the back of the net.... 4-2.
What a comeback to remember.

With the three points secured and Bow losing.

WINTER LEAGUE 1ST DIVISION CHAMPIONS. 🏆

Three points gained from 2nd place Bow.
The title is within reach now, & the non-alcoholic champagne is on ice.

Starboy with two goals, now moves him to the top on the ILFL goalscorer table. This beast can't be contained.

New signing opens his account with his first league for Mile End East FC.

Finally a first league goal from , who came on as a sub, and scored with just his second touch.

We are flying high right now, but it's not over.

Another win, another step closer to the title.
The boys in orange grabbed a massive three points here.
In one of the most fiery games we have played this season.

Kinda expected against a team who came unprepared, and don't even know their own kit colour.
