💔💔💔

It totally sucks that after today the doors of will be closing for good.

Damn, I have learnt an astronomical amount from some of the most amazing, smart, funny, annoying people over this last year.

Im going to have a massive 639 shape missing from my heart

This is definitely one of the most stressful weeks I've had in a while as I transition into freelance.

Its a scary transition, but also super exciting!

If your interested in one to one sessions in and around E1 then please do drop me a message!

Katie has gone from strength to strength since we have been working together

Katie struggled to hold down a consistent exercise routine

Spin here or there, some PT sessions and bootcamps previously-Either doing too muchor nothing at all

But here she is 1 year later, having done 3 sessions per week pretty much every week

Her training plan is one she is motivated to turn up for

The weights are increasing and she is actually seeing herself get stronger!

Her family were in shock when she told them about her 70kg squat!

This all started with Katie reaching out for help because she wanted to do better

Sheknew what she wanted but didn’t know how to get there.

If you’re in that same position we can talk through a plan during a free consultation.

The link to the book is in my bio to fill out the pre consultation form. Drop me a DM if you would like to talk first.

Social occasions don’t have to be off limits for any health based goal.

Remind yourself of your priorities and what is important to you at that moment.

You can give yourself complete permission to follow all or none of these tips.

Just be mindful of what your choices are and why (No falling into the f%ckit bucket here!)

I knew learning to walk would come in handy one day.

By the end of yesterday my knees were weak and arms were heavy, but if I had to do 56km again I'd pick these lot...

. And maybe the hot stepper with the proper walking gear who passed me about the 40km mark.

Super proud of the team at to have walked this for

Sometimes our brain is like the friend who jumps to conclusions, thinks up the worst case scenario, and can be really hard
on themselves.

We have to be the ones to talk them down, challenge them, before they spiral.

Build muscle or diet: the best choice for you

Assuming you have a positive relationship with food and your body there are two
questions that might help you get closer to an answer.

How happy are you at your current level of leanness?

What is your time frame?

Building muscle is a much longer process than losing body fat.

So aiming to build muscle and then try to lean down in 3 months won’t give you
any worthwhile results for either direction.

6 months MINIMUM will allow you to build some decent muscle.

But you want to make sure you can stick this out.

So if you aren't happy with your current level of leanness, Know that body fat levels won't decrease while you're in a calorie surplus.

On the opposite spectrum you could lean down and still not be happy with how toned you are.

In this case spending time at maintenance or a surplus would be beneficial

Focus on the process, enjoy the process, be the process!!

I do belive there is a right and wrong time to diet.

Whats your thoughts?

Grateful for my mind for getting me to the top (with some extra encouragement from friends)

Grateful my body for not letting my fingers get frostbite on the decent

Grateful to be able to see some epic landscape

Grateful for a hot shower and a Caramel shortbread after

Grateful grateful grateful

I was speaking to a client today and he was talking about the overwhelm of trying make changes to his nutrition for life.

He mentioned thought of always having to chose the 'better' option.

He thought he solution might be to throw the birthday cake that he was eating because he 'had to get rid of it'

He also mentioned that maybe after this weekend, he wouldn't bring snacks In to the house

But we discussed the possibility that might not be the best option, because at some point he will be faced with cake or sweets or tasty biscuits again

And what happens then.

I often say on here to look at the bigger picture. But sometimes the better option is to simply focus on the next choice you have to make.

Cake is never out of the equation and sometimes that is the best and delicious choice.

Dont think to the future. Don't assume that if you don't have cake now you can't ever have it again

Just focus, and only focus on the next decision you have to make.

We often like to resolve ourselves to failure.

'That's just not for me'

'That way just doesn't work for me'

When in actual fact your own psychology is the limiting factor in succeeding.

How often do you consider why you're resisting the change you so desire?

Swipe acros, maybe you relate to one or all of these reasons?

Sometimes we feel ready for change but aren't quite prepared for how hard it actually is.

In the moment where your friends are going for Thursday night pints and you are torn with going with them or the gym session you had planned.

Well I don't have the right answer for you.

The right answer can only be decided by you.

By what is most important to you right now.

If you KNOW what the right answer is for you then DICIPLINE and TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR ACTIONS is going to be the biggest driving factor for your success.
