Great weekend teaching and 5 new PADI open water scuba divers.

What a pleasure it was to teach these guys and girl. With the sun shinning and skills being smashed we had lots of time to explore the site and see lots of big Carp and perch.

Congratulations to another group of PADI advanced open water divers.

Over an excellent weekend at Stoney Cove, learning new skills and working hard on buoyancy and positioning in the water column.

Good luck with your diving adventures

Video from a recent trip Jamie took to Narvik in Norway. This wreck is just as it was made , only at the bottom of the fjiords

Z12 Erich Giese was a Type 1934A-class destroyer built for N**i Germany's Kriegsmarine in the late 1930s. At the beginning of World War II, the ship was used in the German Bight to lay minefields in German waters. In late 1939 the ship made one successful minelaying sortie off the English coast that claimed two merchant ships.

While returning from that sortie, she torpedoed a British destroyer without being detected and continued on her way. During the early stages of the Norwegian Campaign, Erich Giese fought in both naval Battles of Narvik in mid-April 1940 and was sunk by British destroyers during the Second Battle of Narvik.

Congratulations to these 5 on completing their PADI open water course this weekend.

What an absolute pleasure it was teaching these great students, we had great buoyancy and depth control by dive 3 which made for a great last dive exploring all around the lake!

Good look in all your underwater adventures around the world!

Real life finding Nemo (clownfish)

The Philippines was literally like being in the film, with crystal clear water, tropical temperatures and surrounded by a colourful explosion of marine life.

Who wouldnt want to dive here?

Clownish

There are over 30 species in the clownfish family. The Philippines are home to the most recognisable species, the Ocellaris or common clownfish, which can be orange with white stripes or black with white stripes. These bright colours, combined with their confident personalities and unique swimming style, remind people of circus performers!

Congratulations to Kerry, Kim and Mihnea on completing their TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression procedures last week at stoney cove.

It was a steep learning curve and lots more to think about than recreational diving but what a pleasure it was to teach these guys and see them succeed in the end.
