What a great weekend with five new PADI open water scuba divers!

With the sun still shining and the temperature pleasant, these three absolutely smashed through the skills, and we were able to do a nice long dive 4 and go see some boats and fish along the way.

Thanks to Toby and Daniel for keeping us safe as you work towards your Divemaster!

We also had a PADI rescue course running this weekend, which was an absolute blast to teach with this bunch!

Paul, Toby, Lara and Robson really showed that practice makes perfect. With some new skills and experiences thrown at them, it was interesting to talk them through and look at other solutions too.

Great job guys and look forward to your progression to Dive Master

Out in full force this weekend 😁

5 new PADI open water divers absolutely smashing it out of the park with instructors Neil and Andy. While the was sun shining and the visibility below average, Jess, Sinead, Lilou, Dan and Aaron ploughed on and got the skills completed and had a great last dive around the lake.

What a pleasure it was to teach these guys and girl. With the sun shinning and skills being smashed we had lots of time to explore the site and see lots of big Carp and perch.

Z12 Erich Giese was a Type 1934A-class destroyer built for N**i Germany's Kriegsmarine in the late 1930s. At the beginning of World War II, the ship was used in the German Bight to lay minefields in German waters. In late 1939 the ship made one successful minelaying sortie off the English coast that claimed two merchant ships.

While returning from that sortie, she torpedoed a British destroyer without being detected and continued on her way. During the early stages of the Norwegian Campaign, Erich Giese fought in both naval Battles of Narvik in mid-April 1940 and was sunk by British destroyers during the Second Battle of Narvik.

Big congratulations to Rhys on completing his PADI Dive master for goal of becoming a member of the British Stunt Register.

With a rollercoaster of a journey at the start, he finished super strong and an absolute pleasure to have assisting on courses and showing new students the way.

Congratulations to these 5 on completing their PADI open water course this weekend.

What an absolute pleasure it was teaching these great students, we had great buoyancy and depth control by dive 3 which made for a great last dive exploring all around the lake!
