A Historic World Championships for Great Britain!
โThe largest World Poomsae Championship in history brought together 1,900+ athletes from 83 countriesโand Great Britain finished 12th overall, our best-ever result on the global stage!
โWhile a few athletes narrowly missed out in Round 8, the resilience, determination, and fighting spirit of the entire GB team in South Korea were exceptional.
โHuge congratulations to our medalists:
โ๐ฅ GOLD: Ali Pourtaheri (O65 Individual Male)
โ๐ฅ SILVER: Simon Negus (U60 Individual Male)
โ๐ฅ BRONZE: Gini Brown, Jenny Furness & Pina Petrillo (O60 Team Female)
โWatching four of my own students step onto the world stage to represent GB was an emotional and immensely rewarding milestone.
โKnowing the countless hours of sacrifice behind their performances, success wasn't just about the medals. It was about watching them embrace the pressure, step out of their comfort zones, and grow stronger through the experience.
โGreat things aren't built overnightโthey take consistency, perseverance, and grit. I hope their journey inspires others to dream big, work hard, and see how far they can go.
โCongratulations to all athletes, coaches, and everyone working tirelessly behind the scenes!
