𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗦𝗜 & 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗲𝗸𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿

We welcomed students from 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗱, 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗦𝗜, 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘, 𝗜𝗖𝗢𝗡, 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘆, 𝗧𝘂𝗷𝗶 and 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 for our annual 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 on Sunday, 17th May. The intensive five-hour training covered all disciplines required for the forthcoming July Dan Grading.

Under the guidance and watchful eyes of 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘇𝗶𝗺, 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗲 and 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶, the candidates were thoroughly challenged and pushed to perform at their very best throughout the seminar.

The standard displayed by every student was high and reflects the dedication, commitment and hard work of both the students and their instructors in preparing for this important milestone.

Congratulations to everyone involved for the professionalism, attitude and effort shown throughout the day.

​What a day! On Sunday, 10th May, over 230 entries from 21 clubs showcased their skills and spirit at the 5th annual London Taekwondo Poomsae Championships. From first-time competitors to seasoned Kup-grades, the atmosphere was buzzing with camaraderie and determination.

​Hosted by EMPSI Taekwondo and Nomad Taekwondo, this championship remains uniquely dedicated to Kup-grade competitors. Our mission is to provide a supportive stage for beginners to gain vital competition experience, and keep it free for families and friends to attend and cheer on their athletes.

Recently, Nomad athletes 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗘𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮, 𝗝𝗶𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗼, 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗶, 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘆, 𝗞𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮, 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲́𝗲, 𝗦𝘂𝗻-𝗬𝗶, 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗶, and 𝗩𝗶 proudly represented Great Britain at the 2026 London International Poomsae Open G1 and the 2026 President's Cup G3.

All of our athletes delivered outstanding performances against a field of world-class competitors from across the globe. In competitions where the margins between success and defeat are exceptionally fine, medals were hard-fought and difficult to secure. Nevertheless, our athletes demonstrated resilience, determination, and an unwavering competitive spirit throughout.

The club proudly took 20 students to the event on Saturday and came home with an impressive medal haul:

Alongside our seasoned competitors, we were especially proud to bring our novice but fast-rising team: 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘆, 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗲, 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 and 𝗡𝗼𝗮𝗵. Each of them stepped up and performed brilliantly under pressure.

What a great start to 2026 for Nomad Taekwondo!

𝗩𝗶 returns home as the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗞𝗲𝘂𝗺𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀𝗮𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻🥇in the 𝗗𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝟭𝟳 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀! This is Vi's first year in the U17 Category, and we couldn't be prouder.

𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 won Bronze 🥉 in the Dan U14 Male Individuals, and 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗶 won Bronze 🥉 in the Dan U17 Male Individuals in his first year as an U17 competitor.

Well done to 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝗦𝘂𝗻-𝗬𝗶 and 𝗩𝗶 for their Gold 🥇 in the Dan U17 Female Team.

We are pleased to announce that 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 and his examination videos will be sent to the UK Kukkiwon office for their decision.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗞𝗶 𝗧𝗮𝗲𝗸𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼 hosted the event, and presiding over the grading was a distinguished panel of examiners — 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝘀 and 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝘀 — who are among the most senior-level Taekwondo Masters in the UK.
