Why should I start weight training if I want to “ lose weight “ 🥸
One thing I see a lot of in January is people spending so much time on the cardio machines which may have you sweating profusely and will be burning calories.
You will burn way more from doing some form on weight/ resistance training.
Through something called EPOC ( excess post exercise oxygen consumption) our bodies continue to burn calories after exercises in this case we will continue to burn more calories after weight training in comparisons to doing 30/40 minutes of cardio on the treadmill for example.

In 2021 I hit my lowest point mentally I was on the verge of giving up on everything but it was also such an eye opener as so to what I really want and how I intent to get it.
This weekend was a mental reset for me, going into the new year refreshed and ready to take on the world.
Sometimes we need that lil break to come back with a clear mind

“ to gain weight all you need to do is eat “
First picture was taken on my first holiday after leaving college in 2016. Second picture is now 2021
My biggest insecurity has always been my weight, from secondary school all the way until university I was always the slim girl.
I’m not gonna act like it’s been easy it’s hasn’t I’ve faced so many challenges and obstacles along the way BUT deciding to take my training and nutrition serious was the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I am so confident in my body now and this is the just beginning It’s only up from here. If this isn’t your sign to start lifting weights ( not just following Instagram video ) the I don’t know what is!!!!

I asked on my Instagram what your goals are for this week as Thursday comes to an end, it’s a great time to look back and reflect on this past week..
This week has been a mixture for me some goals achieved some I didn’t achieve but that’s fine it’s a working progress, just stay focused and your time will come 👏🏽

Not everyday will be your best
Not everyday you will feel 100%
Not everyday you will look at yourself in the mirror and think damm girl
This is something I’ve had to come to terms with and accept. Just because I’m a personal trainer doesn’t mean that I don’t have my bad days. We all have our own individual journeys.
