Congratulations to Music Editorial's own Michael Stayner for topping Music Editorial's Fantasy Premier League table for the 2025/26 season!

Michael just held off Retired Bandmaster Brian Johnson and Alan Hair to claim the title. A special mention should go to World of Sound's Mel Probert, who followed up her third place finish last season, with fourth place this year. Great consistency, Mel.

🎹 Piano Offertory Reflection 🎹

Here’s a video of Meghan Pierson (USA Central Territory) playing an arrangement of George Marshall’s music and Arch Wiggins’ words that form the song 'Jesus himself drew near'.

We are deeply grateful to Ian Loxley for this beautiful arrangement and to Meghan for her wonderful playing.

We pray that this music brings you comfort and strength in these days.

Jesus himself drew near,
Jesus himself drew near,
When alone on the road.
Oppressed by my load,
Jesus himself drew near and walked with me.

🎹 Piano Offertory Reflection

Robert and Gwenyth Redhead’s song 'God, we will give you glory', first published in The Music Salvationist in 1988, continues to inspire hearts today. In this beautiful video, Susan Avison (Bristol Citadel Corps) shares a moving piano offertory arrangement of this much-loved piece. We’re so grateful to Sue for recording and sharing it with us.

Take a quiet moment today to reflect on these powerful words:

Lord, I am praying:
Lord, will you give
Strength to your children,
Courage to live,
Rooted and grounded
Deep in your love,
With peace resting gently
Upon them like a dove?

God, we will give you glory,
For, God, you will answer prayer,
More than we dare to ask you
You’ll show us your care.
God, we will give you honour,
And God, we will give you praise.
God, we’ll renew our promise
To serve you all our days.

Here’s a video of Ian Loxley playing his own piano offertory arrangement of the song 'Nothing but thy blood', written by Richard Slater.

We are deeply grateful to Ian for both this beautiful arrangement and his thoughtful playing.

No! no! Nothing do I bring,
Buy by faith I’m clinging
To thy cross, O Lamb of God!
Nothing but thy blood can save me.
