Sometimes these ‘world’ days can feel a little performative on social media but if there’s one thing no one could say the world wouldn’t benefit from more of every day, it’s kindness.

In honour of this years World Kindness Day (slightly late) & would like to offer one person a chance to join ‘Wake Up & Breathe’ for the second half (three weeks) of our current offering for free. Starting Monday November 21st they can join 25 minute livestreams at 6.30am GMT Monday - Friday.

To enter tag your name below or submit it through our stories or DM. We kindly request you only enter if you feel you will be able to make use of the classes as it is our hope that someone really benefits from the giveaway. You are also welcome to tag a friend or family member who you know would benefit too! All names received by Wednesday 8pm GMT, 9pm CET will be put into a draw and one name will be drawn at random (this giveaway is separate from Instagram).

Break what you want to achieve down and celebrate every brick 🧱. Those bricks add up before you know it. Can you do one stretch or one exercise today, whether it is a breath exercise or a physical one that makes you feel better. All beautiful things need a foundation to be built upon.

We often think of being balanced as a static state, but we are in balance when two opposing energies are in a state of equilibrium with each other. In our bodies, as in life, we need opposing energy’s to keep us balanced. We need rest in life, and we need work and play. Sometimes we can combine the two. The same is true in Pilates we need grounding and lift, internal and external rotation but the more we increase one, the more we must match it with the opposing energy.

The quicker we can notice if the balance is ‘off’ the quicker we can bring back that feeling of equilibrium. Curiosity is always the key, noticing without judgement and shifting the dial over. Life may sometimes feel like a constant seesaw and sometimes it might feel like you are stuck on the bottom seat, but what can you add to the opposite side? If you a feeling fatigued, what can you add to invigorate yourself? If you are feeling tightness in your body, what can you do to find some space?

Uplift Pilates and Caring Loving Self will be offering six weeks of online morning classes from October 31st to December 9th for a limited number of beta testers. For this time those lucky few will join us for themed, daily live workouts and experience the membership at a discounted rate. All this for in return for a feedback survey at the end of the six weeks. The sessions will be early to allow you to be present for them and less likely to be distracted by work or family commitments. We all know the saying “the early bird catches the worm” and there is much research to show how exercising early in the morning can be particularly beneficial for our health. However as the darker, colder mornings draw in this can be more difficult on our own. Let’s feel better together this winter. We will be sending out emails next week with more information.
