A few lovely fish appeared after dark including smoothhound pup and dogfish, all falling to squid wraps.
The spider crabs are still about chopping through rigs and lines. Happily had plenty of spare Kamasan hooks to tie and get back in the water quickly.
Can you feel it in the water on another calm sunny evening on the beach?

It's always good to land the target species, whatever size it is. This one fell to a tasty small squid wrap on a pennel pulley rig using Kamasan Aberdeen 2/0 hooks.
It was immediately returned safe and well to the sea after this appearance and will hopefully show up again when bigger.
