Things I’ve heard in the last few days.

Little shifts. Big shifts. Huge-life-will-never-be-the-same-again shifts.

This.

This was the moment my client realised everything had shifted.

On paper, her life looked full. Children. Partner. Work. A home. Friends, farmer’s markets, Sunday roasts.
All the grown-up boxes ticked.

But there was that feeling. The one that’s hard to name.
Like she wasn’t breathing quite as deeply as she used to. Or as peacefully. Like somewhere along the way, she’d slipped out of the driving seat of her own life.

Not suddenly. Just slowly. Year by year.
Responsibility by responsibility.
Bit by bit. Piece by piece.

And we have been working together, to find those pieces. To get back to her. She hadn’t gone far…

And then, in one of our recent sessions, her energy was different. Something had changed. I could feel it. And when I asked her what had happened, she said those words, with a little smile:

“I remembered who I am.”

We stopped. We sat with it. And we celebrated it together. Because that’s the moment everything changed.

She had taken the wheel again.

And now nothing can stop her 🎉

Sometimes, we need to change the questions we’re asking ourselves.

Sometimes, we need to check in on whether we’re telling ourselves truthful stories, or tales of fiction.

Sometimes we need to acknowledge that something just isn’t right and we’re calling time.

Sometimes, it’s time to look at everything we’ve been afraid of.

And sometimes, we’re ready for change.
