Meet The Team - Matthew Brown (Goal Keeper Coach)

Matty has been playing for over 12 years,
Mainly focusing on trying to perfect goalkeeping techniques. He also 2 years on pitch at centre half developing his understanding of the game even further.

Matt has played in FA Youth cup aged 18 with Welling United and still plays to this date for Welling Park, developing his ability whilst wanting to teach others what he knows.

“Being able to track a players progress, playing ability and knowledge of the game is one of the most rewarding feelings a coach can get.”

Stephen Thomas (Co-Founder)

Stephen has spent over 4 years coaching across all levels and ages.

As a former player up to academy level, ‘Big Steve’ is not only knowledgeable, but also proven on the field. His mission is to help others realise their full footballing potential and can identify and build on existing talent.

Stephen is fully qualified off the pitch too, holding a BSc in Sport, and has had subsequent roles as First Team Coach at Welling Park FC and PE Lead in a local school.

“Seeing others succeed in sport gives me gratification. Knowing that I played a pivotal role in that success is priceless. It’s what gets me out of bed every morning.”

Coach Fish (Co-Founder)

Fish has a broad depth of experience in football coaching, spanning across an 8 year-long career. His deep appreciation, knowledge and understanding of the game has given him the ability to train players from ages 2 right the way through to 41.

Coach is currently the manager of Welling Park FC First Team, as well as assistant manager & coach of popular grassroots team Under The Radar FC. Fish’s philosophy is a blend of results-driven determination and sheer enjoyment of the game.
