Yoga with Manasi Happy for aYoga talk, practice, sharing my journey of life on and off my mat with you all. :)
I liv

With my roots from the birthplace of yoga, Asana practice was such a personal episode in my life. When I moved to the west and continued my practice, I found the world of a difference in how approachable and accessible Asana and Meditation are, to any of us. This then inspired me to take my practice to the next level, and that is to share. I completed my Power Vinyasa 200 Hr Teacher Trainnig at what I call my second home, Lumi Power Yoga. Since then I've been teaching at Lumi and also on the continuous look out to expanding my horizon. I aspire to bring back yoga to my home, in a more accessible way, for us to be more connected to our inner awareness.

🌕 LUNAR YOGA 🌕
Full Moon in Ta**us

The symbol for Ta**us is the bull. Our personality in Ta**us acts like a bull charging headlong into situations without thinking and without regard to the consequences -such as "a bull in a china shop". The bull also represents the Bull of God or the determination that is needed to reach one's goals.

Ta**us is the symbol for the third eye or the "bull's eye". The primary goal of the sign of Ta**us is illumination. It is through the function of the third eye center that light enters the consciousness and brings with it insight, vision and finally enlightenment.

Alice A. Bailey wrote in "Esoteric Astrology":
"In this sign we have the following qualities or aspects in juxtaposition:

🔥Desire-leading to aspiration upon the reversed wheel.
🔥Blindness-leading eventually to sight
🔥Darkness-leading to light
🔥Death-leading at last to liberation"
(Information from Meditation Mount)

Ta**ra Wisdom 🪷 NAVARATHRI 🌺 Durga 🔱 The one who shows up.

Nine nights with the Goddess, I'm here sitting with the truth.

From the outside, it can look polished. Classes taught, kirtan, Business running, kids squished, carrying that chirpy smile . Radiating. "How does she do it all?"

Here's how. 🔥On little sleep. On low energy. With a to-do list that never ends, however well I prioritise. On hormones flairing up. On a cycle that's shifting. On meltdowns.

I've been teaching for over 10 years. I'm still not perfect. I don't want to be. Perfection kills creativity. What keeps me going is a deep longing to create and to serve.

Maa Durga. She doesn't have ten arms because she's calm and finished. She has them because the battle needs them. Constantly.

Her power comes from gathering everything scattered, into one place. In Ta**ra, this is SHAKTI. The energy that pulls us back together when life makes us fall apart.

And look at the many gifts held by one woman at once. Mother, daughter, teacher, carer, earner. Sound familiar?

So what is she fighting? Not a monster out there. Mahishasura keeps shapeshifting from a buffalo, an elephant, a man. In Ta**ra, he is the ego and inertia that change disguise to keep us stuck. "I can't stop." "I have to get it right." "If I rest, everything falls apart."

And look what she rides, a LION. She doesn't have a life without fear or exhaustion. She has a life where those things are the animal beneath her, and she's the one steering. That's the strength I want to practise, letting fear be but never letting it drive.

If you're a woman holding too much and still showing up, this one's for you.
This phase of my life has been extremely testing.. but I choose to show up. I radiate. I love with all my heart. I give and give endlessly, cos I simply love to and I know no other way. These pictures capture the essence of all of this for me. Thank you martharyan 📸

Which disguise are you fighting this week? 🔱
