The 2019 British Junior Open Championships Finalists

What a weekend of Tennis!

Inspirational matchplay in the British Junior Open Championships finals today.

In the Under 12s Max Warner & George Jameson displayed tennis way beyond their years, with Max becoming the youngest ever to take the title at only 8 1/2 years old!

In the Under 14s Bertie Vallat & Henry Henman showed similar maturity of play. With Bertie taking the title.

Henry subsequently was named as the recipient of the Nat Duncan Trophy and Racket, which was presented by Jim & Nora Duncan, in memory of their son Nat.

In the Under 16s Max Trueman & clubmate James Medlow offered a repeat of the Under 14s final of 2018. With James showing stronger character and determination this year and reversing the result from last year to take the 2019 title.

In the Under 18s Patrick Smart made a very strong start, taking a one set lead against William Flynn. William wasn't going to give up without a fight though and casting initial nerves aside took the next 12 of 13 games to win the next 2 sets and the Under 18s title.

Thanks to Paul Weaver for his passion and organisation of the event, to Queens Club for hosting the tournamnent, but most of all to the 37 stars of the present and future of the game.

The future of Real Tennis continues to get brighter!
