How to boost your self-esteem 😊

➡️Stop comparing yourself to others. That's the quickest way to make you feel less worthy and 💩 about yourself.

➡️Set a worthy goal and work towards it. You feel successful when you're making progressing rather than staying stuck.

➡️Keep the promises you make to yourself. If you say you're going to do something take action and DO IT. You feel so much better afterwards.

➡️Serve others. Take the time to help someone else. We are so wrapped up in ourselves we forget that the simple act of helping someone else makes you feel so good. Plus you feel like you're making a positive contribution in the world. When was the last time you helped someone out?

➡️Remember your achievements, celebrate your success and promote your strengths. It's not showing off. We focus too much on the negative and spend too much time focusing on our weaknesses. Develop your strengths, do more of what you're good at and shout about it!

Why set a goal?

A goal gives you direction and purpose. It brings meaning to your life. Without a goal you're left wandering aimlessly through life with no progress made.

The goals you set can be big or small. But setting the goal is the important thing ❤.

The science of fat loss 👩🏾‍🔬📉

It doesn't care whether you're a good person or a bad person, it doesn't care if you've had a stressful day. If you don't obey the laws of fat loss and commit to the fundamentals you will gain weight.

Take emotion out of the equation and start applying the basic principles of losing weight.

Eat the right quality and quantity of food, drink enough water, get a good night's sleep and exercise. If you don't follow this CONSISTENTLY then don't be upset by the end of the week, month when you haven't lost weight.

Be honest with yourself and look at areas that need work. Develop self awareness and adopt a solution focused mindset. Then start obeying the laws of weight loss.

Believe me it works. I lost weight 5 years ago and never put it back on. You can do it too 🙌🏾.

The thing I miss most about the gym is using the functional equipment and doing exercises that are just different from the usual. Looking forward to doing this one again 😁.

You don't realise how much you rely on your legs when training upper body.

Suddenly these 4kg dumbbells feel like 6kg!

Try out an upper body exercise either kneeling or sitting on the floor instead just to make that workout more challenging!

WATCH YOUR TECHNIQUE❗

Technique is everything!

Quite often, it's the difference between getting injured or not.

This exercise is one I see a lot of people execute with p**s poor form 😩.

It's not hard to get right but you do need to pay attention to how your body is feeling.
If you do an exercise and you don't feel it where you should be or it hurts somewhere then you may not be performing it correctly.

Watch your form in front of a mirror or record yourself doing the movement and watch it back.

You cannot afford to make mistakes when it comes to technique. It may take time to perfect but it's better than taking time off injured.

80% of success is showing up 🙌🏾💪🏾

At the begining of January, skipping became my choice of cardio instead of jogging which I was getting a bit bored with 😬.

The goal was simple, just to improve my skipping. I wasn't aiming for a specific target but just focused on enjoying it ☺.

Skipping is fun and it's hard! You get out of breath much quicker than jogging alone so there is the potential to burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time 👌🏾.

My skipping improved a lot in a short space of time but the reason why there was progress was because I showed up every week at the park with my rope and got to it.

So whatever your goal, honour your commitment to yourself and show up. That's how you get results 💃🏾.
