Well done Tsunami 🌊🥋
Team of 5 went up to Manchester
And all gave some outstanding performances 👏

Every athlete stepped onto the mats with confidence, heart, and determination. The hard work, dedication, and hours of training are all paying off, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort shown by every single competitor.

It’s the commitment, discipline, and team spirit that make champions and today our team showed exactly that. Manchester done ✔️ Now back to work and onto the next one 💪🔥

Thank you for having us

Tsunami Taekwondo at the Dutch Open 2026 🇳🇱🥋

A special moment with Master Anne-Marie, Kwan Jang Nim from Spirit Taekwondo (Australia), who was representing the AUS TKD Performance Pathway Program🇦🇺 in the Dutch and Belgium Opens

Even more meaningful, she was one of Instructor Josh’s very first instructors at New Wave Martial Arts when he was growing up 🙌

A huge thank you to for your continued support and for the thoughtful gifts for our team. We truly appreciate it 🙏

We look forward to training with you guys in the near future.

A big well done to our students Jay and Aneesh at the Spring University Championships this past weekend!

Although Aneesh didn’t get the result he was hoping for, he showed real determination and ability right until the very end. A strong performance for his first university competition in A Class.

Huge congratulations to Jay on securing his second consecutive university gold! His hard work over the past year is clearly paying off, with massive improvements across the board. This was the perfect follow-up to his previous university victory. Let’s go, champ! 🔥

Well done boys, we are proud of you both.

A big thank you to & ._.tkd for your support with coaching the boys!

Dutch Open 2026

We are proud of Josiah and Clara for representing the club at the Dutch Open. You both delivered strong performances, showed great determination, and landed some excellent points throughout your matches.

While the results weren’t quite what we were aiming for this time, the progress is clear to see. Every performance like this builds experience, sharpens your skills, and moves you one step closer to where you want to be.

Keep working, stay focused, and trust the process — this is just the beginning of bigger things to come on the international stages.

Great effort from Josiah for your participation in the Bulgarian Open just over a week ago 👊🥋

Narrowly missing out on a medal, Josiah came up against Bulgaria in the quarter finals. Despite the result, it was another step forward and clear progress has been made.

Now the focus shifts to the upcoming Dutch Open this weekend, excited to see what’s next!

Our only expectation is full effort, and you delivered it in every moment. Your resilience, heart, and determination showed what true commitment looks like. Even when decisions didn’t fall our way, your performance spoke louder than anything else.

We are immensely proud of you all.
Always remember, the work you put in shapes the outcome you earn.

🇦🇺🛫🇬🇧
Thank you again to Master Jason and Spirit Taekwondo for supporting our fighters in their international preparations, sharing your knowledge, and offering valuable advice to our Elite fighters.

Fun Fact:
Both Kwan Jang Nims at Spirit TKD, Master Jason and Master Anne, were Instructor Josh’s senior grades during his early years training throughout the 90s while growing up at New Wave Martial Arts.

They have also been a huge inspiration behind Instructor Josh’s desire to build a family of martial artists, international athletes and Taekwondo Champions.
From afar, they have supported the growth of Team Tsunami since the very beginning.
