London cyclist deaths hit second lowest level ever recorded

The number of people killed while cycling on London's roads in 2025 was the lowest since 2020

Six people were killed while cycling on London’s roads last year, which is the lowest number since 2020 and the second lowest ever recorded, according to figures
published by Transport for London (TfL) today.

The only year with fewer fatalities was 2019, when five cyclists were killed while cycling in the capital. In 2020, six people were killed while cycling and nine were killed in 2024.
