Learning from the best 🎾✨
Pro player Julieta Bidahorria shares one of the biggest volley secrets in padel👇
✅ Get into position early
✅ Keep your elbows forward
✅ Contact the ball in front of your body
When your elbows stay forward, your volleys become more controlled, compact, and consistent — helping you react faster and dominate the net 🙌
Simple detail. Huge difference. 💥

Watch her feet… always alive, always adjusting. Great volleys start with active feet.
And notice where she contacts the ball — always out in front. That gives her control, balance, and the ability to direct the volley with confidence.
✅ Active feet
✅ Contact in front
Two simple keys to an amazing volley.
At the net, ask yourself ONE thing before every shot 👇
👉 Am I attacking or defending?
If the ball is coming FAST at you, you are usually DEFENDING ⚠️
That means you don’t need to hit harder.
The pace is already there 💥
Instead of forcing the shot, simply:
✔️ Block the ball
✔️ Control the direction
✔️ Use the opponent’s speed
Trying to hit hard on a fast ball often creates mistakes and loss of control.
Good net players don’t always hit harder…
They make better decisions 🎾
Ladies… the 2-handed backhand can be a TOTAL game changer 👏🎾
Most women don’t naturally have the same upper-body strength as men, so using 2 hands can give you:
✔️ More control
✔️ More stability
✔️ Better timing
✔️ Extra power without forcing it
Is it mandatory? Absolutely not.
But it’s a GREAT option if you struggle with consistency, power or confidence on your backhand side 💥
Sometimes the smartest technique is the one that makes the game feel easier 😉
Most players try to control direction with the wrist… but that’s exactly what makes the shot inconsistent 🎾❌
If you want better control and accuracy, stop flicking the wrist and start using your body.
👉 Your hips should guide the direction of the ball.
Where your hip points, the ball goes.
Stay stable, rotate through the shot, and let the body do the work 💥
More control. More consistency. Less mistakes.
“Which ball are you playing?” 🎾
Not every shot has the same purpose 👇
🔒 Defending ball
⚡ Attacking ball
🎯 Control ball
🎨 Creative ball
The best players recognise the situation before they hit. 💡
Tip #1 for Beginners 🎾
Open the racket face as early as possible ⏱️✨
Early preparation gives you more control, better touch & more successful shots 👌
Beginner mistake: serving with ONE ball only ❌🎾
The best players always carry 2.
Less interruptions = better focus, better rhythm, better game.
Drop shot feeling drill 🎾
✔️ Continental grip
✔️ Open racket face
✔️ Let it bounce
✔️ Brush underneath the ball several times
This drill helps you develop the soft touch & feel needed for a controlled drop shot ✨
What’s your rating? 👀🎾
Remember… ratings are just a guide, not your value as a player.
Every club, country, and system is different.
The goal is simple:
➡️ Find players at a similar level
➡️ Have competitive matches
➡️ Improve
➡️ Most importantly… ENJOY the game ❤️
If you’re not enjoying where you play, try new clubs, new players, and new environments.
Sometimes the right atmosphere changes everything 🙌
Hit hard without losing control 👇
Stay LOW before contact…
Then rise UP through the shot.
That’s where power + precision meet 💥🎯
Most players stand up too early → lose control → miss.
Fix this, and your shots stay IN.
