Don't half ass it! β€οΈ This is just to many wise words not to post!
What a truly memorable few months of adventures it's been. It feels like the world is a bit of a crazy, stressful and often divided place at the moment but travelling and fishing with so many awesome people from across Europe gives me a real sense of hope. Divided by countries and languages (or my inability to speak anything other than English π«£π€£) we all bond on the thing that we all love and that's fishing. Just great laughs, many beers, absolute fishing geekery and many casts leading to some very special fish. It's been truly a dream come true on many levels and it's not the end. The tough times are still gonna rear their heads and the world is nuts but we keep going and I know that if you don't half ass it you can always make it happen!! As corny as that sounds it's true! Life has been bloody challenging recently not gonna lie but as says you just gotta keep on doing it otherwise you will always wonder what if... I love that concept and I feel confident it's gonna be a great next few months and beyond.
Massive shout out to all the people from the last few trips from Perch fishing in Holland filming for with to adventure fishing in Spain with and and and then the last epic trip to Sweden with .guston with and on the lens. It's been a crazy few months and I can't wait to see what's next. In the meantime it's been trout on the mayfly with my 4 and a half year old and that's been equally magical. Not sure what's next but I know it's gonna be a fun ride, defo some tench and sea bass and I can't wait for the rivers to return. Tight lines as always from me and speak soon π

I thought it was about time I created a page to go alongside my Instagram and YouTube.
Last week in Sweden was glorious! β€οΈ Here is a lovely perch double header caught mid-strolling using the new Poison Glorious 265ML "Shaking" rod. I have to say these rods are next level and such a joy to use especially paired with the Vanquish. This one is going straight in my collection and I can't wait to get the BFS version soon. What a series of rods!
The trip to Sweden was truly epic with so many cool adventures all shot for the Shimano YouTube channel which I can't wait to see. Thanks to for these awesome shots I have a feeling this is going to be a very cool film when it comes out.
I'll put up another post with more of an update from the trip soon. Needless to say it was a privilege to spend time with a fabulous bunch of people in a truly wonderful country. So much fun!! I will put more up soon but in the meantime if you are thinking about a Poison Glorious just do it. You will not regret a single second with these rods in your hand!!
A New YouTube video is now live on the YouTube channel. Check out the link in the story!!! ππ

Last month me and Sam went across to Holland on another epic adventure with the boat and the trailer. This trip was hard work but we had a great time as always and ground out some lovely fish along the way. We have been asked so many times what you need to do this trip yourself so we have dived deeper into the process and the logistics along the way. Hopefully it is helpful and fun to watch. Oh and the cherry on the cake was we also had the chance to use the first European SpyPole and 360! And boy is that a brilliant system truly mind-blowing and I can't wait to get to grips with it more this year!
Let us know your thoughts in the comments and drop the guys at SBS trailers a Sub as there are some more cool films coming down the line! Anyway tights lines and speak soon! π
π₯European first test of the Garmin Spy Pole and GT360UHD and the only thing I can currently say is WOW!π€―π₯
This is definitely a reel for the boat geeks out there so sorry If this isn't your jam but I'm like a kid in a sweet shop with this one!! I have been very lucky to get my hands on a pre-production version of the New Garmin Spy Pole with the new GT360 UHD transducer and it's just insane. Me and Sam are out here in Holland perch fishing and whilst the weather has been a bit tough yesterday and today we have been installing and playing with the Spy pole system. This is genuinely a crazy progression with 360 and Livescope integration with unbelievable technology built in things like 3D Livescope augmentation, Spy Lock, gesture control and so much more. We will be making some more detailed videos over the coming days but if you have any questions fire them over. Fingers crossed this weather can clear and we can get back on the fish utilising this new tech from Garmin. Genuinely don't think I've been so excited to get back out on the water.
Anyway I hope you are having a great week wherever you are and for those at home in the UK making the most of the end of the river season tight lines from me!

When a big 4 isn't even close to the biggest fish of the day you can only be in one place! π³π±β€οΈ
We arrived in Holland this morning and after getting the boat on the water we headed out for a few hours exploring. Although it was a hard first few hours on the water we were rewarded with 3 fish to the boat in a beautiful afternoon afloat. 47cm,48cm and a unit of a 49 (Sam's fish go and check that one out!) it sounds mad but all of our fish so far are over 4 and a half pounds with Sams going much, much bigger. Crazy really, that's why the grind is so worth it here. It's brutal and daunting and can destroy your soul but when the bite comes it's so often a monster.
We are out here making some videos for Garmin and SBS Trailers as well as for our own channel, its going to be a busy but a really exciting week. I just love this place, everything about the experience is just top notch so fingers crossed for some more fish. The goal for our own film is the never ending search for a 3kg (6lb 9oz) perch. It's going to be hard as nails but why aim for something unless it has some jeopadry. We truly don't care who catches it but a PB for either of us to get us past 6,7lb would be amazing. This place is just epic and I find myself pinching myself each time I slip my boat on this gargantuan water. We will keep you posted as we go and fingers crossed for a great week.
I hope you are having a fab week wherever you are and for those getting in the last sessions of the UK river season tight lines and wet nets from me! ππ«‘β€οΈ

Who doesn't love a last minute stolen session?! One where you drive over the canal and can't resist turning around and heading back from a flick. For me it's what lure fishing is all about and here is a lovely Thursday afternoon impromptu canal perch to show for it. And to make it better it was a great way to properly break in the Poison Adrena 2-10gr fixed spool. Perch don't have to be monstrous to get the heart pumping, for me it's all about the situation and the bite. This afternoon was a great example of that when this lovely canal perch smashed my micro ned rig on my new fixed spool Adrena. The bite was sensational and the fight was great fun and when the session then involved a load more bites it really doesn't get much more fun! Short impromptu fishing fun at its best!
As you all know I love my BFS and power BFS fishing for perch but I wanted a rod to use for those situations where I want to fish something light in the wind on the boat or for drop shot situations. After a fair amount of thought and looking at the option that rod for me was the 2-10gr 1+1 Poison Adrena. Obviously on paper this is absolutely the rod for the job and there was no doubt in my mind it would be great for obvious reasons. But with all that said I have to be honest it lives up to the billing in every way. Light, sensitive, comfortable in the hand and powerful where it needs to be. You really can't beat the one piece sensitivity down the blank. It's not going to be my most used rod but it will 100% be one I now look forward to picking up in the right situations and for those that know me that's a big step especially with a drop shot attached πππ
Anyway enough geeky waffle I'm just glad to be out fishing and catching fish whilst also not needing 75,000mm military grade waterproofs to stay dry and warm. And to top it off I've managed to find a load of roach to go and have a go at on the waggler if the perch fishing dies off again. Another example of why stopping when it looks good is worth it! Anyway tight lines on your next adventure and remember if you feel like stopping... STOP and get the rod out, who knows what you will catch! ππ£π
