🌟 Our OKD Star for May is Esme! ✨

Each month, we celebrate a dancer who reflects our values - not just in how they dance, but in how they show effort, focus, creativity, and joy in class.

Esme is a hugely valued member of her class and has really stood out recently for the positive contribution she makes every week.

She is always keen to join in discussions, share ideas, and engage with what we’re learning. Alongside this, she has been working hard towards her tap exam, approaching the challenge with focus and commitment while continuing to bring plenty of humour and personality to the studio.

What we especially appreciate about Esme is the balance she brings. She takes her dancing seriously and gives things her full attention, but she also helps make classes enjoyable for the people around her. Her positivity, enthusiasm, and willingness to get involved have a really positive impact on the group.

Esme is an important part of the class, and her teachers love having her in the studio.

📣 On Stage with OKD

🎪 This time last month our amazing jazz dancers had the exciting opportunity to perform under the big top at Revel Puck Circus.

At OKD, we love giving children opportunities to experience dance beyond their weekly classes - from end-of-term assemblies and watching weeks to our bi-annual show, workshops, and special performances like this one.

These experiences help children grow in so many ways: not just as dancers, but as confident, resilient and supportive young people 💛
