La prima squadra del Napoli per la stagione 2026/2027 conta 30 calciatori tesserati con contratto ufficiale nella rosa principale
Antonio Luise, a real estate developer and former Castel Volturno city councilor, spoke on Stile TV during the program "Salite sulla giostra": "The first stone for the sports center hasn't been laid, but the latest news is that De Laurentiis intends to stay in Castel Volturno. There's a contractual problem with extending the contract he's seeking. De Laurentiis can sell the club within two or three years because he can't do more. He's done a lot, but if he'd wanted to leave something important to his children, he would have built the sports center and/or bought the stadium. He keeps talking, arguing with the city, and my guess is that in a few years he'll ask to be honorary president of the club. And that's right, but needless to say, he wants to buy the sports center or build the stadium. Napoli will therefore stay in Castel Volturno for another three or four years because they're happy here, the players are happy, and he hasn't been able to find a place to build it. Conte asked him for a state-of-the-art sports center, but he didn't get it and left. That's what he's doing." a sports center might be good for a good Serie C team, but not for Napoli."

For us Napoli supporters, supporting Napoli isn't about business at all, but about pure love, support, and identity. The bond that unites us between the city and the team is something visceral that goes far beyond money or simple sports fandom.💯

THE LIMITS OF CORPORATE POWER: DE LAURENTIIS CANNOT ERASE STADIUM CULTURE
Police Headquarters (Questura) draws a firm line against the club's attempt to impose a blanket ban on all banners at Stadio Maradona.
Aurelio De Laurentiis has long envisioned transforming SSC Napoli into a global entertainment brand. However, his recent attempt to impose a blanket ban on all fan banners across every sector of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona during home matches has officially reached its limit. The Police Headquarters (Questura) rejected the club's request outright, citing public order and security concerns.
This decision represents a critical reality check for the club's leadership and reinstates the boundary between corporate management and public governance.
BOUNDARIES OF CORPORATE POWER
As the president of a professional football club, De Laurentiis holds full authority over ticket pricing, commercial partnerships, and transfer market strategies. What he cannot do, however, is treat a municipal stadium as a private fiefdom where authentic matchday culture and visual support can be arbitrarily erased. The Stadio Maradona remains a public venue leased to the club, not a private studio set.
FAILURE OF BLANKET BANS
Attempting to enforce an all-out war against matchday culture by treating the entire stadium populus uniformly—and ignoring the deep cultural dynamics of European football—has proven to be an ineffective exercise in authoritarianism. The Questura's rejection demonstrates that heavy-handed tactics cannot override established legal protocols or public safety considerations.
FOOTBALL IS NOT A MOVIE SET
The ambition to replace the organic identity of the Curva and Distinti with sanitized, corporate visuals ("UEFA-style" uniform dressing) fundamentally misunderstands the essence of football. Football thrives on passion, community identity, and active participation. It is a social tradition passed through generations, not merely a passive consumer product.
The rejection by the Questura sends an unequivocal message: a club president's personal fixations end where public safety, law, and respect for the fan community begin. Napoli belongs to its people, and its stadium will remain a place where passion can be visually expressed within the framework of collective safety.

🟨🟥⚽ Guys, watch out, football is changing completely this season. Referees will whistle very little to keep the game flowing "English-style." Here are the clever new things you need to know: ❌ No more "penalties": forget about free penalties. If the attacker dives at the slightest contact or exaggerates his fall, the referee signals him to get up and even risks a yellow card for simulation. 💪 More physical play: shoulder charges and hard (but fair) tackles are no longer fouls. There's much more play and less whistles in midfield. ⏱️ Throw-ins and quick kick-outs: those who waste time have only 5 seconds left. If the player takes too long, the throw-in is reversed or the opposition is awarded a corner. 🏃♂️ Quick substitutions: anyone being substituted must leave the nearest point within 10 seconds. If he's smart and walks slowly, he leaves his team with 10 men for a whole minute. 🩹 Fake injuries punished: if the doctor comes in to treat you, then you have to stay off the pitch for a mandatory 1 minute. That way, you won't want to roll around on the ground wasting time. 🖥️ Super VAR: starting this year, it can also intervene to correct incorrect second yellow cards (avoiding unfair red cards) and poorly awarded corners. In practice: fewer dramas, a very high tempo, and many more regular blows in midfield! 🟨🟥
