“I hardly eat anything and I can’t lose weight”…
03/06/2024
Fat loss is very simple (the theory) but only when you know how
And
Fat loss in practice is extremely tough - physically and mentally
But it’s made 1000 x harder by people complicating things in a bid to win your attention (shiny object syndrome) on the internet in order to sell you XYZ
One thing that people really don’t understand (and why would they) until their told is shown in this slide
It’s why it’s perfectly normal to have different sized portions to your partner
And why it should make you feel at ease than if you’re overweight you’re at the EASIEST starting point to drop fat quickly
Both those things should be encouraging!
Ps
I have nothing to sell except years of proving simply repeated accountable action works and why having someone in your corner who understands your struggle is far more effective than listening to hundreds of different words of “wisdom” on the internet and trying to go it alone

Thank you to for having us on the radio just now and hearing Jefs story
The “ever presents” are an incredible group of gentleman and I hope they get the recognition they deserve 👍🏻

We’re almost at 750,000 views and 5000 comments on Jefs incredible story of being an “ever present” at the London Marathon
As well as my photography and marketing work, I’ve been a PT & S&C coach for over 12 years, I just don’t post about it much on here
But
Here’s to hoping that London Marathon Events will join me and the thousands of others to celebrate the achievements and 44 years of consecutive London marathons by just 6 people in the world
It would be amazing to see their success broadcasted on official London Marathon channels to show how much they’re loved and supported 🖤

44 Consecutive not out for the EVER PRESENT that is Jef Aston 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Client of 12 years, club mate, friend for life.
Couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, at not that far off 80 years of age, this LEGEND of the running community puts in every single day.
It might not be a 2:29 like the good old days but to have completed every single one since the race began is incredible.
Well done Jeff 👏🏻🟢🔴

This time last year at the where I went for sub 3 & bonked hard at 20 miles
Of course of all people I should have known better but I forgot a couple of gels of the brand I’d been using and didn’t like the ones I’d replaced them with, so just didn’t take them - which will absolutely bite you on the ass and it did
Today I’m back training in the build up to with a 21 mile run and although not as fit as last year, I’m not too far behind with a few weeks to go
So for anyone running tomorrow - no matter what, stick to your plan, don’t go off too fast, drink your water, take your electrolytes and TAKE YOUR GELS at every planned increment
All the training in the world won’t count for anything if you don’t fuel properly - trust me 😂
Then most of all - soak it up and enjoy every step, the atmosphere is INCREDIBLE
The best race in the best city on earth 🙏🏻

Read the last bit on the last slide
Look how good just moving your body is
Look how helpful walking is
Look at what all of us can do every day to lengthen our lives and be fitter, healthier and ultimately happier in better shape

Is walking good for you?
In short, if I had to pick one thing that every single person on earth should commit to each day, it’s a walk.
- Improve heart and lung health
- Improved mental health, especially being out in nature
- Improved / maintained muscle & bone health especially in older populations
- Free
- Low risk (although watch out for those beautifully laid British pavements)
- Burns calories with low intensity effort (granted you must walk a fair distance for this)
- Easy to track (steps, distance, time)
- Can be made harder (hills, weighted rucksack, distance, speed)
- Can be done anywhere
Will 10,000 steps (or any number) magically make you lose all that body fat you’re itching to shift? No, not unless your calories reduce - but it’ll help, and it’ll do all of the above as well which is only a positive outcome
Everybody should be aiming for 30-60 minutes outside walking a day
Don’t say you don’t have time, you do
Don’t say “it’s raining”- wear a coat, you won’t go rusty
Do it, enjoy it, appreciate it.
Your body & mind will thank you for it 👍🏻
