The RORC is recognised as the premier organiser of racing for offshore yachts, including the most famous Rolex Fastnet Race, the Brewin Dolphin Commodores' Cup, the RORC Caribbean 600 and RORC Transatlantic Race and more. RORC is also involved in many other international events, such as the Rolex Middle Sea Race, the Transatlantic Ocean Racing Series etc. The two clubhouses in London and Cowes are fantastically located in Green Park, Central London, and on The Parade in Cowes, overlooking the Solent.

What an incredible performance once again from Bellino. Rob Craigie and RORC Commodore Deb Fish have secured their fourth consecutive RORC Season’s Points Championship title, retaining the Jazz Trophy as IRC Overall champions aboard their Sun Fast 3600.

Four seasons of commitment, meticulous preparation and consistency across a demanding offshore programme. In 2026, Bellino also claimed the IRC Three, IRC Two-Handed and Mixed Two-Handed titles, adding to an outstanding collection of honours.

Their campaign brought together two-handed and fully crewed racing, with RORC Griffin Pathway graduates Joe Griffiths and Nicole Hemeryck joining the team for the Round Britain and Ireland Race — sharing the adventure and contributing to another memorable season.

Congratulations to Rob, Deb and everyone who has played a part in Bellino’s success.

Palanad 4 named RORC Yacht of the Year 🏆👏

Olivier Magré’s Mach 50 Palanad 4 has been awarded the Somerset Memorial Trophy for outstanding racing achievement, as voted for by the RORC Main Committee. Skippered by his son Antoine, the team also takes the Europeans Cup for IRC Rating Zero.

Behind the innovative design is a sailing programme built around family and friends, with the yacht’s designer and builder joining them on the racecourse.

Applications for the RORC Griffin Offshore Pathway 2027 are open to sailors aged 18–30. Think offshore racing, coaching and a new crew to share it with.

You need to be a competent sailor, but offshore experience isn’t essential. Bring commitment, teamwork and a willingness to learn.

Trade winds, warm seas and serious offshore racing. 🌊⛵

The countdown to the 2027 RORC Caribbean 600 is underway, with an impressive international fleet already taking shape for the 18th edition of the race, starting from Antigua on Monday 22 February.

600 nautical miles. 11 Caribbean islands. One of the world’s most spectacular offshore racecourses.

Among the early contenders are Johnny Vincent’s Volvo 70 Pace, fresh from overall victory in the 2026 RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race, James Neville’s Botin 65 Artemis Bleu, Frédéric Puzin’s Daguet 5 and the returning Maxi 72 Balthasar.

The multihull fleet is also shaping up for an exciting contest, with Allegra, Sophia and Ocean Fifty Calamity among the entries.

Beyond the racing, inspiring campaigns including Luke Spink’s Blueprint and Karl Smith’s Racing to End Parkinson’s will add further stories to the 2027 edition.

The action begins with the RORC Nelson’s Cup Series from 16–19 February, before the fleet heads offshore for the Caribbean 600.

Racing around the world to help end Parkinson’s. 🌍⛵

RORC members are invited to the Clubhouse on Monday 12 October at 18:30 to meet Irish sailor Karl Smith and hear about Racing to End Parkinson’s — his campaign to raise €1 million for Parkinson’s charities.

Inspired by his father Peter, who is living with Parkinson’s disease, Karl is preparing to take on the 2027 Global Solo Challenge: a single-handed, non-stop circumnavigation aboard Class40 #147.

Before heading around the world, Racing to End Parkinson’s will compete in two major RORC races in 2027 — the RORC Transatlantic Race and RORC Caribbean 600 — alongside RORC member David Rowen.

The evening will offer members the chance to hear Karl’s story, learn more about the campaign and discover opportunities to support or become involved, including potential race sponsorship and opportunities for RORC Griffin sailors.

Representatives from Cure Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s UK will also be joining us.

A race worth remembering. 🌊🏆

The 2026 RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race officially came to a close on Saturday, as more than 60 sailors reunited at the RORC Cowes Clubhouse for the Prize-Giving of the historic 50th anniversary race.

1,805 nautical miles around Britain and Ireland. Wind farms, sandbanks, rocks, big conditions and memories that will last far beyond the finish line.

RORC Commodore Deb Fish, who completed her third edition of the race aboard Bellino, had one message for the crews:

“Remember this race. It’s a special race. A massive well done to every single one of you.”
