🐻⛵️ Big Bear Voyage 2026 is underway.

Pudsey Bear has officially set sail from Hamble aboard the J/160 Big Bear as part of a 2,200-mile Round Britain fundraising voyage for BBC Children in Need.

Led by skipper Jonathan Brewin and sailing under RORC colours, the crew will visit 35 ports across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, helping raise awareness and funds for an important cause close to home.

With a strong RORC connection on board and hundreds of offshore miles between the crew, Big Bear is combining adventure, community and purpose around the coastline of Britain.

BBC Children in Need supported more than 363,000 young people last year across the UK, with mental health a key focus in 2026. 💛

Wishing Jonathan, Tim and all the crew a fair wind for the voyage ahead.

Congratulations to Bellino, overall winner of the 2026 RORC Myth of Malham Race 🏆

Rob Craigie’s Sun Fast 3600 Bellino, racing two handed with RORC Commodore Deb Fish, claimed the overall win after IRC time correction — also taking victory in IRC Three and IRC Double Handed.

This year’s Myth of Malham was a light airs thriller from Cowes to Eddystone and back, with blistering heat, tidal gates, compression zones and plenty of tactical decisions across the 235nm course.

Line Honours went to Guy Gillon’s Botin 56 Khumbu, while RORC Vice Commodore Derek Shakespeare’s J/122 Bulldog finished second overall and won IRC One. Rob Cotterill’s J/109 Mojo Risin completed the overall podium and won IRC Four.

In the multihulls, James Holder’s Uno won a close battle for Line Honours, with Didier Bouillard’s Dazcat 1295 Minor Swing winning after MOCRA time correction.

A proper offshore classic — and a race decided by focus, patience and keeping the boat moving.

Scorching sunshine. Light breeze. Tight racing in Poole Bay. ☀️⛵

Day Two of the 2026 IRC European Championships delivered another busy day on the water at the International Paint Poole Regatta.

After a light offshore breeze in the morning, a thermal breeze built through the afternoon, allowing race teams to make the most of the conditions across the courses.

The battles are already building:

🏆 Braveheart leads IRC 0
⚔️ Impetuous and Jack Rabbit are tied at the top of IRC 1
🔥 Frank 4 leads IRC 2
💪 Aguila is dominating IRC 3

A huge day on the water, followed by cold beer, food and a busy evening ashore at Parkstone Yacht Club.

With more sunshine and breeze forecast for Sunday, the championship is set for a strong final day.
