The best news I have heard all year is that cheating scumbag bastard Anthony Taylor has finally hung up his whistle 👋🏼

After years of unforgivable controversy, bad decisions after bad decisions the clear biased against Chelsea was simply disgusting. The disgraceful clown Anthony Taylor has officially retired from professional officiating and will now likely join the board at the PGMOL.

I have only ever seen one referee worse than Taylor in all my years as a Chelsea fan and that was Tom Henning Ovrebo who officiated Chelsea’s match against Barcelona in 2009. He famously refused 4 clear penalties in that game and Chelsea was eliminated in the semi-final ( years later he admitted he was paid off)

With VAR monitoring every decision referees make now Taylor had no choice but to leave his position his entire career was an embarrassment to the Sport . 

Let’s hope we get some top quality referees next season. 

Pre-season has started, Chelsea fans.

The squad already looks much stronger than it did last season.

Sanchez finally has genuine competition between the sticks with Penders, and the two of them should have a real battle for the number one spot.

Colwill was massively missed last season. If we can get Lacroix over the line, we'll finally have the centre-back partnership we've been missing for years.

The club has finally put plans in place to provide cover for James. It's the first time in years we've signed a right-back capable of challenging for a starting place, and that's a huge positive. As much as I love James, it's almost inevitable he'll pick up another injury at some point. For me, he's no longer guaranteed to start, which should reduce our reliance on him. Palestra was outstanding last season and looks like he'll add even more quality and depth to the squad.

Over the next few weeks we'll almost certainly see a new face arrive at left-back. Hopefully it'll be someone more exciting in the mould of Araújo or Cambiaso. Unless Alonso is planning to use Quenda or Neto at left wing-back, I'm not too worried about that position. Hato and Palestra can both play there if needed.

Our attacking midfield almost picks itself. Rogers, Palmer and Estêvão will be a massive threat going forward, with Neto, Quenda and Gittens providing excellent backup. For the first time in a long while, we have genuine balance and quality on both wings.

There are some big decisions to make up front. Pedro and Emegha look set to be our main strikers, with either Satpayev or Jackson providing the third option. I still think the club will sell Delap, Guiu or Jackson to balance the books.

A solution also needs to be found regarding Enzo. If he stays, he'll need to adapt his game. Alonso wants a deep-lying playmaker who can consistently split defences with progressive passing. I don't think Enzo offers that. His passing over the last few seasons has been far too inconsistent, so I still believe he'll be sold to the highest bidder. If that happens, I think Alonso will either bring in Barco or go all out for Adam Wharton.

The club still needs to move several players on. We don't need an oversized squad this season, so it's better to part ways with players who don't have a long-term future at Chelsea now rather than later. Any money raised will likely be reinvested into strengthening the first team.

It looks almost certain now that we won’t be signing another striker. With Alonso confirming that Jackson will join the squad for the Asia tour and Emegha coming in, I don’t think we need anyone else. Pedro will be the first choice, with Jackson and Emegha providing cover when he’s rested or unavailable.

I think both Delap and Guiu will be sold over the next few weeks.

I’m also convinced James will mainly play in central midfield or as the right centre back in a back three when needed. That leaves Palestra and Gusto competing for the right back position.

Disasi, Badiashile and Trevoh will all be sold, while Sarr and Anselmino will most likely head out on season long loans.

Colwill, Tosin, Fofana, Hato and Acheampong should all compete for starting places, with another centre back still likely to arrive. That should give us more than enough depth.

If we somehow find a buyer for Fofana, I’d drive him there myself. The reality is that no sensible club in Europe is going to take on wages of around £200k a week for a player with his injury record. We’re probably stuck with him until the next setback.

I’ve also heard rumours that Mudryk’s appeal will be heard in the next few weeks. If it’s successful, he could rejoin the squad for pre season.

Having him back on the left would certainly add more pace to the team.

Garnacho and Neto have reportedly both been told that game time won’t be guaranteed.

Chelsea are said to want around £65 million for Neto but would accept closer to £30 million for Garnacho. From what I’ve heard, the sporting directors believe signing Garnacho was a gamble worth taking. United were asking for as much as £90 million at one stage, so they felt around £40 million represented good value.

With centre back still Alonso’s main priority, I can’t see much more happening unless there are some major departures. Once you add Palestra, Emegha, Barco, Quenda, Penders and Jackson returning, the squad is simply still way too big. Santos, Cucurella and George have already gone, but I still expect at least another 10 players to leave before the transfer window closes

With only a few more days until Alonso officially starts his role, you can already feel the energy and excitement building around the club. The last few seasons have been full of ups and downs, but with a few more key additions, Chelsea will finally have the right balance of young talent and experienced players.

Signing the best young defender in Italy and making moves for players like Lacroix and Xhaka shows the club is listening to the fans and is willing to be flexible in its approach to improving the squad.

So far we have:

Penders returning, who is an instant upgrade on Jorgensen and will provide much stronger competition for Sánchez.
We’ve signed a top-quality right wing-back in Palestra, immediately improving the right-hand side with added height, power, and elite ball-carrying ability. Players like Gusto will now have to raise their level or risk being sold.

Disasi, Fofana, and Badiashile will all be under huge pressure to improve, especially if the deal for Lacroix is completed. The club is also looking at other defensive options, including Roman from Como, which would add even more competition to the back line. Height, strength, and mentality are clearly key attributes Alonso wants in his defenders.

The sale of Cucurella has now given the club the opportunity to bring in a more creative and versatile left wing-back. Although we’ll miss everything Cucurella brought to the team over the last few years, a more attack-minded player would give us a much-needed different option on the left. Players like Araújo, Hall, and Chavarría would all bring better balance to an Alonso system.

Bringing back Quenda gives us something we didn’t have last season: a direct, versatile attacking player who can operate in multiple positions on either flank. Neto’s lack of creativity and decision-making in the final third was frustrating at times. We lacked attacking options for long periods, and that inconsistency clearly showed the owners that improvements were needed.

The signing of Barco has gone under the radar. His passing and creativity are exceptional, and he has an absolute wand of a left foot. His ability to unlock defences and create chances will give Chelsea a new dimension, especially against teams that sit in a low block. Adding quality depth across several positions is a clear upgrade on the current squad.

Emegha also looks like an excellent addition. At 6’5” with incredible pace, he has the potential to offer something completely different and could prove to be an upgrade on both Delap and Guiu. Pairing him with Pedro gives Chelsea a genuine aerial threat, which should be exciting to watch once our wing-backs start delivering quality balls into the box.

With more arrivals expected and several departures still to come, I genuinely believe Chelsea are going to surprise a lot of people next season. The buzz around the club is growing, and for the first time in a while, it feels like everything is moving in the right direction.



Marc Cucurella made it clear that he wanted to leave this summer when Maresca left. The fact that we are not in the Champions League also means cuts need to be made.

I do wish him luck, and I hope he finds peace with his decision. It took a while for me to warm to him, but I think he won us all over in the end.

£50–60 million is not a bad return for a left-back. I think this sale answers the question of which formation Alonso will be using next season because surely the club would not let one of the best defensive left-backs in the world leave unless the system was changing to accommodate a back three.
As much as I liked Cucurella inverting, I think his ability in the final third has always lacked that final ball. He is not the best passer, but his aggression and relentless pressing will definitely be a big miss for the team.

I think Alonso was always going to bring in a new left wing-back, as the attacking options on the left have been poor over the last few seasons.

I also think the links with players like Grimaldo, Hall, and Cambiaso have definitely come from sources close to the club. Let’s just hope the club brings in a replacement quickly so we can move to the more important transfers.

The transfer window is not even open yet, and the big clubs are already making moves.

Chelsea have a huge job on their hands this summer as they look to move on a number of unwanted players.

Xabi Alonso has reportedly been assured that the club will do everything possible to sign the players he believes can strengthen the squad. Chelsea have already made it clear that they intend to bring in several established Premier League starters this summer. The priorities are a ball-playing central midfielder and a proven Premier League centre-back.

Alonso is a big admirer of Barco, but he also understands that the Premier League is a massive step up from Ligue 1. The Argentine talent will be given time to adapt to the pace and intensity of English football. This position will be crucial if Alonso is to successfully implement his system.

Early indications suggest that Enzo Fernández is likely to be priced out of a move this summer. Real Madrid are currently prioritising targets from PSG rather than the Premier League. Enzo feels he has received mixed signals from Madrid, and with new arrivals expected and an elite manager now in charge at Chelsea, he is beginning to have second thoughts about leaving.

That said, Chelsea supporters will want to see a clear commitment from Enzo before fully welcoming him back.

Chelsea are looking to improve the squad with experienced additions across the pitch rather than simply focusing on sales. Strengthening the first team is the priority, and any player signed at Alonso's request will arrive as a starter.

Any experienced players brought in will also be expected to help develop the younger members of the squad. Players who have underperformed will be given an opportunity to prove themselves again under the new manager.

Alonso has made it clear that he will only sign players with the right mentality. Inconsistent performers will be the first to be moved on. Having the right characters in the dressing room will be vital if Chelsea are to have a successful season.

Victor Osimhen is highly unlikely to be involved in Chelsea's transfer plans this summer, with Galatasaray now demanding €150 million for his services. Chelsea believe João Pedro is Alonso's first-choice striker, while Emanuel Emegha is viewed as a strong option to provide depth. Dušan Vlahović is also under consideration, as Alonso is known to be a fan of the Serbian forward and he could be available on a free transfer.

As much as I would welcome Guler, I think Chelsea have the RW position pretty much covered. Palmer, Estevao, Quenda will give more than enough cover on the right. I think Chelsea need to ask for Tchouaméni in any swap deal for Enzo because we are desperate to add Height in the middle.

Height is currently a massive priority for Alonso and he is looking at options for the squad. Adding some bigger players will definitely give us some much needed physicality.

I would add Osimhen upfront, Tchouameni in midfield and Lacroix and Diomonde at the back with Colwill and we will have a much bigger stronger balance.

Where would this stadium rank with the rest in the league ?

If Chelsea brought in five first team signings to strengthen the squad and replace outgoing players, this is what the squad could look like. That is with the deadwood cleared out too.

Then Add a few extra players like Grimaldo, Senesi.

I have to congratulate Arsenal on winning the league. It is hard to argue they did not deserve it in the end because too many clubs were clearly underperforming.

But one thing I will never praise is the way Arsenal won it.

Arsenal did almost everything against the traditions and core values people usually associate with football. Becoming masters of the dark arts and setting up primarily not to lose made them very boring to watch. Using four centre backs and two holding midfielders, then relying heavily on height and set pieces, was really underwhelming.

Arsenal also benefited from a huge number of own goals in key moments, something that felt unusual across a title winning campaign. On top of that, VAR decisions went their way on several occasions, which only added to the frustration of rival fans.

The biggest factor in Arsenal’s title win, in my opinion, was time wasting. So much time disappeared after set pieces, with players constantly going down and stopping momentum. Statistics showed that once Arsenal took the lead, or whenever momentum shifted, a different player would often go down injured. Reports also suggested Arsenal added an average of around 14 extra seconds to free kicks while leading, creating frustration and drawing unnecessary yellow cards for opposition teams.

Arsenal also set a record this season against Brighton, recording 30 minutes and 51 seconds of restart delays, the most by a single team in Premier League history. That match ended with the ball actually being in play for only 46 minutes.

This style of winning a title will probably never happen again and arguably should never have been possible. Time wasting has become such a major issue that it will likely be addressed next season.

Fans are clearly being cheated out of seeing 90 minutes of football. New rule changes are being discussed to make teams think twice about wasting time. Proposals include forcing the player responsible for a foul to leave the pitch temporarily, reducing delays at throw ins, by making the closest player to the ball take it and making changes to include throw ins to the offside rule are being interpreted. These ideas are clearly aimed at reducing bad gamesmanship.

Retaining a title is a much bigger challenge than winning one. This style of football is difficult to sustain and may only have worked because the teams around Arsenal massively underperformed many teams struggled to deal with long throws and set piece pressure. But next season teams will adjust, defend better, and learn to combat the threat next season.

Call me salty if you like, but deep down Arsenal fans all know this title was helped massively by VAR decisions and players time wasting.
