BLMHC recently took on the ugly sibling down the road at Lee Valley. A fresh Barts side pushed early from the start and after breaking down the shoddy qm defence, we managed to squeeze one in courtesy of president tom scoring his 4th goal in as many years. In true BLMHC style, we were caught like Jim from american pie on a counterattack where they managed to get one past the sleeping dan in goal. Ending the first half at 1-1, we managed to get a short corner early in the second half but our german recruit phillip was able to control his balls and sent it wide. This set off a chain of green and yellow cards with Rags immediately after being told no one to get another card proceeds to body check their forward and get sent off. This piece of fantastic defending led to a short corner which they converted thanks to Dan forgetting how to close his legs. A tense match ended sadly with the ugly sibling winning 2-1 but we take away some valuable lessons; one hopefully being Raph and Phillip learning how to convert a short corner.

Despite the terrible loss, the boys stayed in high spirits - see Dan and Lucas (apart from Phillip)

On one grey afternoon, BLMHC’s finest trekked all the way to Sipson Lane to play against Imperial 4s. The day started slow, with multiple players arriving very late, including our legendary first Fresher Alumni - Samir, who in true Samir spirit, misread the meet times for an hour later. The match started quickly, with BLMHC taking the lead from an excellent shot from the best Centre Forward BLMHC has ever seen, Mr Milne, who ripped it into the back of the net. From here on, it was smooth sailing. This game was unlike no other, with no players receiving any cards and even individuals like señor Presidente Tom were able to get on the score sheet. Our German man, Philipp, calmly swirled past most of their defensive line to slit a nice reverse shot into the corner of the backboard. This was followed by tom absolutely smacking a rebound through the keepers legs.
Our final goal came from fresher Manaav who almost got his head taken off by mr Milne, who launched it at the top right corner of the goal for Manaav with his true BLMHC reflexes, to deflect the rocket into the net. This was the first ever cleanse for our social sec - Mr Dan “hold that” Alavi. But it wasn’t because he was any good, it was only because the opposition weren’t up to par. Overall, an enjoyable day at the office seeing Mr Milne getting DoD for his Hattie avoidance and Manaav achieving MOM for lightning reflexes that neurologists should study.

WE ARE SO BACK

21/10/2025

Well well well! On the 28th of September, BLMHC’s finest ventured to our home grounds (the Olympic stadium) and took part in the Lee Valley Cup. Not only did we enthusiastically take part, BLMHC did extremely well and did not come last! Our DoD was supposed to write a full report, but since he’s so lazy, he hasn’t responded. What a wonderful outing for the boys, it was a pleasure to have our alumni return and bag a couple goals.
DOD: Jason Isaacs (Jason 2.0)
MOM: fresher Matt

Introducing our only Dentist this year, Dan. The man loves the sesh as you can tell from that attrocious image with his new haircut. We look forward to seeing what he has in store for us…

Ed’s Australian mind and cachectic Scottish build will be the brain and body behind this years 1st XI at BLMHC (until his AVNRT catches up with him). Although he looks like he’s had a few too many Irn Brus, this man actually has a decent stamina, although I’m told this doesn’t necessarily translate to other, more personal areas of his life… We look forward to having the bunny-slayer himself in charge of things on the pitch… Who knows, is it relegation or promotion that is finally coming our way?

This Hong Kong-grown legend, Jason Chu (Wai Lun), will be the man in charge of organising our umpires this season… surely anything is better than previous years (see the time when Rags forgot umpires on multiple occasions)

Introducing the real El Jefe, Mr Raghuv Kanwar. Assuming the role of Alumni Officer, we are sure that this man will get the job done. If I’m totally honest, we always seem to have such faith in him, maybe it is just the way he carries himself, but if I look back on his previous committee roles, I don’t know why we still trust him!
When he’s not making Ed Jealous about his girlfriend, he’ll be boshing down 2dots and pivos… we hope he does his job well this year…

Welcome back to day 3 of Committee Introductions! Today we are kicking off with our honorary Committee member, Yajat, whose dark-horse-esque behaviour is one that we are still year to understand despite his years in BLMHC. We hope that he continues to reign on as official Ball-sackretary despite this upgrade in honorary role. .m_

Introducing Mr Marshall Neill, the man greedily in charge of two roles this year taking a firm grip on our finances this season and ensuring that we get home from our Iron Curtain adventures. Only a higher power can save us now…

Introducing BLMHC’s Top Gooner, Pranav, who will be in charge of running our Tables weekly on a Wednesday evening. Pranav will have the luxury of looking after our first ever Fresher-Alumni hybrid, Samir. We hope that he lives up to expectations running the ship this year stepping in sacred ground following legendary footsteps
