Real Change Happens One Step at a Time
We live in a world that celebrates quick results.
But meaningful change rarely happens overnight.
Maybe today your success looked like:
๏ฟฝ- Getting out of bed.
- Drinking enough water.
- Going for a short walk.
- Saying no to something that drained your energy.
- Asking for help.
These moments might seem small, but they matter.
Every healthy choice is another step towards the person you're becoming.
Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions.
Progress is still progress even when it feels slow.
๐ Celebrate your wins, no matter how small they seem.

What is Behavioural Health?
When people hear the term behavioural health, they often think it only refers to mental illness, but it's much broader than that.
Behavioural health is about the connection between our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and overall wellbeing. It looks at how our daily habits and choices affect how we feel, and how our mental wellbeing influences the way we behave.
It can include:
โข Managing stress and anxiety
โข Building healthier habits
โข Improving sleep
โข Increasing motivation
โข Setting boundaries
โข Developing coping strategies
โข Strengthening relationships
โข Supporting recovery and personal growth
The important thing to remember is that behaviour can change. Small, consistent steps often have a greater impact than trying to change everything overnight.
Change doesn't require perfection; it starts with awareness.

Managing Anxiety When Starting Something New ๐ฑ
New experiences often bring a mix of excitement and nerves.
A new job.
A new city.
A new course.
A new chapter.
Feeling anxious doesnโt mean youโre not ready.
Try:
๐ Breaking challenges into smaller steps
๐ Focusing on what you can control
๐ Celebrating small wins
๐ Speaking to yourself with kindness
Growth often happens outside your comfort zone.
Growing Up Between Two Cultures ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฎ๐ณ
Many children growing up in the UK with South Asian heritage learn to navigate two different worlds. At home, there may be one language, one set of traditions and family expectations. Outside the home, there may be different values, friendships and ways of life.
For some, this feels enriching.
For others, it can feel confusing.
๐ญ "Where do I fit in?"
๐ญ "Am I British enough?"
๐ญ "Am I Indian enough?"
The truth is, there isn't one right way to be British or one right way to be Indian. Our children and teens don't have to choose between their identities; they can embrace both.
This is something I understand personally. Growing up as a British Indian, I often found myself navigating two cultures, balancing different expectations and sometimes wondering where I truly belonged. Looking back, I realise that my British and Indian identities have both shaped who I am today, and I wouldn't want to lose either part of myself.
At Vanisha Doshi Wellbeing Coaching, I am passionate about helping bridge this gap. I support children and families to build confidence in who they are, embrace both sides of their identity, and feel proud of their heritage while thriving in the world around them.
When children feel accepted for all of who they are, they develop the confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging that helps them flourish.
Let's help our young people grow up knowing they never have to choose. They can be proudly British, proudly Indian, and proudly themselves.

For many children and teenagers, the summer holidays are a time to relax, recharge, and enjoy a break from school.
But for others, they can bring:
- Anxiety about returning to school
- Loneliness from being away from friends
- A loss of routine and motivation
- Increased screen time
- Low mood or a lack of confidence
- Worries about the year ahead
As parents, it's easy to feel pressure to keep your child entertained every day. The truth is, they don't need a perfect summerโthey need to feel safe, supported, and connected.
Here are a few simple ways to support your child's wellbeing this summer:
๐ฟ Keep a gentle daily routine.
๐ฟ Encourage time outdoors and physical activity.
๐ฟ Make space for conversations without pressure.
๐ฟ Celebrate small achievements and new experiences.
๐ฟ Remember that rest is just as important as productivity.
If your child is struggling with confidence, stress, emotional wellbeing, or simply needs someone impartial to talk to, coaching can provide a supportive space to build resilience, healthy coping strategies, and confidence before the new school year begins.
๐ At Vanisha Doshi Wellbeing Coaching, I support children, teenagers, and young adults to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive not just during the school year, but throughout life's challenges.
