Class is permanent 🥶

Isak had plenty of doubters after a rocky first season at Anfield, with a delayed pre-season followed swiftly by a horrible leg break. Now, however, he is showing that his goalscoring instinct never went away. His first goal against Ipswich was an instinctive bullet of a shot to the near post, and his second goal came courtesy of some wonderful shimmies in the box, which sent the defender and the keeper the wrong way. If Isak can keep it up, we could be a real force this season!

Form is temporary...

MG Power Rankings | PL Matchweek 3

After a strong showing against Ipswich secured a first win in the Premier League, the rankings have shuffled around. Gakpo stays top with a delightful brace of assists, and Isak climbs up to second after finding the net twice. The Swede overtakes Jacquet, who was solid in defence and helped Liverpool to close out their first clean sheet. Mac Allister surges into fourth after a superb display in midfield. Muñoz rounds out the top five.

Do you agree with these rankings?

New season, new Isak 👊🏾

After a tough debut season at Liverpool riddled with injuries and tactical problems, Isak has turned a new leaf. He has netted three goals in our opening three games in the Premier League, and needs just one more goal to equal his tally for last season. The Swede was devastating against Ipswich, opening the scoring with a scorching shot and doubling our lead with a fine finish after some great footwork.

Well in Alex!

Who was your MOTM? 🔥

Iraola finally has his first win as Liverpool manager, after a convincing performance secured a first win of the season in the Premier League. Gakpo was on fire, grabbing two assists including a wonderful pass to tee up Isak, who found the net with a couple of superb finishes. Araujo provided some much-needed stability in defence, and Mac Allister dominated the middle of the park.

Who are you picking?

Is Nyoni a Wijnaldum regen? 🌟

Although Liverpool were not able to leave Anfield with three points last weekend, Nyoni showed that he could be ready to step up to the first team. The 19 year-old looked composed and alert when he was substituted on, and showcased some brilliant decision-making skills. Because we were chasing the game, he was brave and direct with his passing, playing between the lines to speed our play up. It reminded me of a certain Dutch midfielder that played under Klopp...

Should Barcola start over Gakpo tomorrow? 🤔

Now that Barcola is finally a Liverpool player, Iraola may have a selection headache on the left wing. The Frenchman will no doubt want to play as many minutes as possible, but Gakpo has our most impressive forward so far this season. So should the gaffer start our superstar signing or bring him off the bench?

Four SUPER summer arrivals 🦸🏾

It hasn't been the transfer window of dreams, with Liverpool neglecting to sign right-sided players, but these four summer arrivals are game changers. In Barcola we have signed an elite winger, and Muñoz is already looking like the bargain of the season with his pace and power up front. In defence, Jacquet looks head and shoulders above Konate, while Araujo could prove to be a very handy option at centre back and right back.

Great business from the Reds!

The MG predicted lineup against Ipswich 🔮

Following frustration at Anfield last weekend, Liverpool have a chance to grab their first Premier League win of the season with a trip to Ipswich on Friday. There could be some rotation at Portman Road, with Ngumoha in contention to start on either the left or the right. Iraola is likely to persevere with the same midfield and Frimpong at right-back.

Would you be happy with this team?

The BEST left wing in the Premier League? ⚡️

Now that Barcola has signed and Gakpo is staying, Liverpool might just have the best left wing in the entire league. The superstar signing joins Gakpo, a seasoned PL forward with 52 goal contributions in the top flight, and Ngumoha, who is one of the most promising attacking talents in world football.

Plenty of options...

Four players left 🥺

Did you know that from the Liverpool team that beat Real Madrid 2-0 at Anfield two seasons ago, only four players remain. Kelleher, Diaz and Nuñez all left the following season, while Salah, Robertson and Jones all departed this summer. It was a special team which walked the Premier League in Slot's maiden season, but nothing lasts forever.

Times change...
