Available to runners of all abilities the Virtual New Year Run is designed to get you fit and healthy and energised for the next 12 months.
Your goal is to rack up the marathon distance of 26.2 miles in January, finishing with one final run on January the 31st.
You can complete the challenge in ANY of the following ways:
1 x 26.2 miles on the 31st of January
2 x 13.1 miles with one of the 2 half marathons being completed on the 31st of January
4 x 10.54Km with the last 10.54km run being completed on the 31st of January
8 x 5.27Km with the last 5.27Km being completed on the 31st of January
10 x 2.62 miles with the last 2.62 miles being completed on the 31st of January
25 x 1.048 miles with the last 1.048 miles completed by the 31st of January

Have you ever wanted to climb Mount Everest? That sounds very dangerous, expensive and difficult to do in line with social distancing.....
But we have a solution – a big challenge for Isolation 2020. Can you climb the equivalent of Mount Everest in 12 weeks? In this challenge, you can go out to the hills on your daily exercise or simply tackle the stairs a couple of times every day..... achieve 8,848m of elevation gain before the end isolation, and this well earned medal can be yours!
How it works:
1) Sign up to your race
2) Complete your run
3) Upload your evidence to [email protected] on completion
4) Put your feet up
5) Wait for the postman to drop off your medal!

Spartan Sprint - South East

This year sees the long awaited return to old fan favourite and legendary OCR venue Pippingford Park. Nestled in the heart of Ashdown Forest the varied terrain of Pippingford lends itself perfectly to a Spartan race. With hills, woodland trails, rivers and lakes, there are plenty of natural obstacles for Spartan to utilise in producing a challenging but enjoyable course. The venue itself is used by the British Army for Basic Training so there really is no better proving ground for new Spartans and seasoned racers alike.

The Brighton Marathon

Over 12,000 runners take part in the marathon each April, enjoying a course that starts in Preston Park at 9.45am, snakes its way through the city centre, along the glorious seafront and finishes at the iconic Madeira Drive in front of thousands of cheering spectators. The course bests for the men and women are well under 2hrs10min and 2:29, making it the second-fastest marathon in the UK. It is also the second-largest marathon in the UK and eighth-largest in Europe.

Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon

A historical running experience you will not want to miss. The start line sits on the front courtyard of Hampton Court Palace, and your finishing line will be found in the stunning Palace Gardens. The Palace Half course is very flat but oh so picturesque. The half marathon starts and finishes inside historical Hampton Court Palace. The race is very proud of it's famous medals for finishers. Run like Henry VIII and make your own history at this fantastic event.
