Sometimes the hardest part of change is knowing how your ADHD brain will react to it.
ADHD brains:
“Please give me novelty.”
Also ADHD brains:
“Not THAT much change!”
- New tasks, new expectations
- Overthinking
- Perfectionism
- Everything everywhere all at once feelings
Lead to “Argghhh I want to hide under my duvet and never come out moments”.
That’s one reason ADHD coaching is so powerful.
You don’t get a perfect life plan.
Instead it helps you
- More clarity
- Tools that work with your brain
- Reduce shame and self-blame
- Surf the wave of change without drowning.
If change feels wonky, scary or stuck, drop me a DM.

We’ve all been there. You wake up energised, ready to go.
Then you stop. 😩
With an ADHD brain, getting started can feel impossible, even after a great night’s sleep.
The problem?
Our brains struggle with transitions. That shift from “not working” to “working” is often enough to derail the whole day.
Here’s what helps me and my clients beat the “where do I even start?” spiral 👇
The night before, spend 5 minutes:
✅ Note what you got done (celebrate it!)
✅ Reschedule anything unfinished
✅ Choose your 3 priorities for tomorrow
✅ Pick which one you’ll start with
✅ Set everything up i.e. open the files, pull the resources
✅ Identify the smallest possible first action (one sentence, one subject line)
You’re making decisions for 'future-you', so 'morning-you' can skip the mental load and dive straight in. 🧠
The goal isn’t to plan everything. It’s just to remove the moment of paralysis.
💾 Save this for tonight. Your tomorrow self will thank you.

What feels hardest today?
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is answer that question honestly.
- Not with judgement.
- Not with comparison.
- Just with clarity.
ADHD brains are brilliant at turning one tricky thing into a story about your entire capability as a human.
Let’s not do that today. Instead let’s:
- Name the hard thing (you can)
- Make it 5% easier (about)
- That’s enough (honestly)
If you’re in the middle of messy change, transition or are simply and frustratingly stuck. 1:1 coaching spaces are open.
Tell me one word in the comments if you want. I’m here.

Feeling stuck in your work doesn’t always mean you need a brand new career plan.
Sometimes it means your head is full,
your confidence has taken a knock,
and you can’t tell which ideas are yours anymore.
So I’m sharing a few words from Lynn about her coaching experience.
This is what coaching can look like during a career change.
- Not rushing into decisions.
- Not forcing clarity before it’s ready.
- Not being told what you should want.
Instead it’s
- Space to reflect.
- Clarity coming back
- And a sense of direction that feels doable and believable.
Thanks to Lynn for sharing her coaching change story. You’ve got this!

One interruption. Five lost threads.
I was doing it.
I swear.
Then I was interrupted.
Now I’m trying to remember
what
why
where
and how long I’d been there.
ADHD task switching isn’t cute or quick.
Each interruption leaves a smear.
So if I look stuck
or slow
or like I’ve vanished…
I’m not avoiding the task.
I’m trying to find my way back into it.

Struggling to get out of bed?
ADHD brain
chasing dopamine
like it’s on a mission?
January feeling…
a bit
much?
Hello January.
The bit
after the bit before.
After the chaos.
After the vibes.
After we made it up
as we went along.
I saw this sign in the park:
“Sorry I don’t look my best,
I’m still growing.”
Honestly.
Same.
If going back to work feels heavy,
you’re not broken.
You’re transitioning.
And ADHD brains
do not love
sudden gear changes.
No big resolutions here.
Just
small steps.
Tiny restarts.
Gentle
getting-back-into-it
energy.
Like a tulip bulb
under the soil,
doing important things
quietly.
Still growing.
Still valid.
Still you 🌱
