Hi everyone,
Tonight is the club's first session of the term. Hope to see everyone on the piste.
**THE CLUB WILL RE-OPEN ON WEDNESDAY 2ND DECEMBER **
Following the latest government announcement, we are pleased to say that it will be possible to re-open the club again until the end of the term, with strict Covid-19 protocols in place.
**THE CLUB WILL RE-OPEN ON MONDAY 14 SEPTEMBER 2020**
We are delighted to announce that the club will re-open on Monday 14th September, with appropriate Covid-19 prevention measures in place. Further details will follow. We hope to see you back at the club again soon.

Congratulations to Annabella who won the LPJS U11 girls event in London this weekend. Well done!
Also congratulations to Ffion (Girls U13) and Garen (Boys U13) both silver medals, Thea (Girls U13) bronze medal and all the other fencers from CLFC who competed well this weekend.

Two fencers from CLFC were abroad this weekend for International tournaments.
After his bronze medal a couple of weeks ago, in the Czech republic, Theo ranked 11th in Finland losing versus the future finalist.
Well done Theo!
Garen was at Budapest (Hungary) and got an amazing silver medal. He only lost in final 10-8 versus an Ukrainian fencer, finishing second for his first tournament abroad.
Well done Garen!
We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to the four CLFC fencers who were qualified for the Elite Epee Grand Final (top 8 of the 2019 ranking in each age group).
Two CLFC fencers won in their age group. Garen won the U10 boys event and Annabella the U10 girls one.
Theo (U14 boys) and Ffion (U12 girls) ranked both 6th in their age group.
Well done to all of them!

Congratulations to Theo for his amazing result this weekend at the Babylon Cup, in the U14 category, a European tournament hold at Liberec, Czech Republic.
Theo got a bronze medal - out of 96 fencers - after losing unfortunately only 15-14 in semi-final.
Well done Theo! We are all proud of you!

This term we are delighted to introduce a new coach to CLFC, Filip Broniszewski. A bronze medalist at the Summer Universiade in Taipei 2017, Filip has been an active senior athlete representing Poland, his home country for the last 15 years and has amassed more than 30 medals while competing in the Polish Championships and 3 medals in European Championships. Filip's background includes a graduate degree in Sports Science and Physical Education from the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland and he has worked professionally as a sports manager and head coach assistant. Welcome Filip!
