We are excited to announce a new partnership between afPE and the BDSA 🤝.
Together, we’ll be supporting teachers and schools in delivering high-quality dance sessions as part of Physical Education while creating more opportunities for young people to experience dance sport in a fun, accessible and confidence-building way 💃.
Through upcoming initiatives designed to bring dance and movement to life in schools, this partnership will help more pupils discover and enjoy the creativity, expression and physical benefits of dance sport.

✨British DanceSport Association at the London Sport Awards ✨
Last night, representatives of the British DanceSport Association had the pleasure of attending the London Sport Awards at The Guildhall, London as nominees for the Safer Sport Award. Being shortlisted from a huge number of nominations was an honour in itself and a proud moment for everyone involved in our work to support safe and positive participation in DanceSport.
The evening was inspiring, celebrating the people and organisations making a real difference across London’s sporting community. It was fantastic to be part of such a vibrant and committed group, all working towards better, safer sport.
A huge well done to the very deserving winners Charity, and massive congratulations as well to White Ribbon for their recognition on the night. We’re proud to stand alongside organisations doing such important work.
Thank you to London Sport for hosting a brilliant event – we left feeling motivated, connected and excited for what’s ahead.

Please join us in welcoming Rachel Everitt to the BDSA Youth Advisory Group. ✨
Rachel has loved dance from a young age and has been dancing since she was 8 years old. Over the years, she has built experience across a range of styles, with Ballroom and Latin as her main focus.
She has also explored Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Ballet, giving her a broad appreciation for different forms of movement and expression.
Rachel’s passion for dance and enthusiasm for learning make her a fantastic addition to the Youth Advisory Group, where she will help share the voice of young dancers and support the future of dance sport.
We are excited to see all she will bring to the team. 💙
