My daughter and I are both really chuffed to have passed our NCFE Level 2 in Bushcraft, Survival and Wilderness Living Skills with Survival School 😊
It was a brilliant course, and we’ll definitely be back for more!

The real goal isn’t chasing a perfect number. It’s building a habit you can stick to consistently.
Start where you are, move a little more each day, and let that add up.

I had such a lovely Summer Solstice weekend away on Dartmoor with Love Her Wild Women's Adventure Community, organised by the brilliant Elspeth Fimpel | Wellbeing through nature connection & laughter and Ella Hewton .
We stayed at the wonderfully special Moor Barton Wilding, and spent time exploring the idea of rewilding, both in nature and within ourselves, and how the two are so beautifully intertwined.
I was going to write about how, now that the days begin their slow journey towards winter, it’s the perfect time to establish those outdoor movement habits. The walks, runs, swims and workouts that you make part of your routine now, are the ones you’re far more likely to maintain when the evenings draw in, and the weather becomes less inviting.
HOWEVER…given this exceptionally hot weather, you have my full permission to ignore all of that advice for a few days, and stay very still in the coolest place you can find.
Normal service will resume when temperatures do!

Have we become too disconnected from nature?
Or are we just too distracted to notice it?
Why does nature make us feel better? Is it because we remember more of our evolutionary roots than we think?
