The most underrated cue in the deadlift? Your lats. If your lower back hurts every time you pull — this is probably why. When your lats aren't engaged, the bar drifts away from your body, your weight shifts forward, and your lower back takes over a job it was never supposed to do. 🫵That's not a strength problem. That's a technique problem. This resistance band on the barbell creates a forward pull that forces you to engage your lats — keeping the bar close, your weight over the mid-foot, and your spine protected throughout the entire lift. 🎯One cue. Slowly getting out the mud but still a long way to go. Didn’t do many accessories pre comp, so my general strength is low. But I’m back to training more days per week, which allows for more accessories in the split, as well all seeing more focus due to the reduced intra session fatigue. Lat feels great post session, but chest quite sore.
