Next up we have the Novice Men’s squad! Here to say a bit about their goals and training expectations for the upcoming year are Captain Teodor and VC Elliot:
1. Aims
- Build a committed, competitive and positive squad environment.
- Develop every rower throughout the season.
- Create a strong team culture where everyone pushes each other to improve.
2. Competitive Aspirations
- Build several strong, race-ready crews capable of competing at a high level for novice racing.
- Develop crews throughout the season, aiming to peak for our key races.
- Race with ambition and consistently challenge ourselves to move up the field.
3. Training
- Train consistently throughout the season (on and off the water) and make every session count.
- Develop strong technical foundations alongside fitness and race preparation.
- Create a training environment where everyone works hard, is accountable and pushes the squad forward.

Hope you’re all getting excited for term to start! But first some introductions are in order. Starting things off with the Senior Men’s squad, we have Senior Men’s captain Atticus Hitchings…
Key aims for the Senior Men’s squad:
- Qualify for Henley
- Compete competitively at various events throughout the year
- Building a good social atmosphere
Training schedule:
- We do 4 water sessions a week
- One on Monday one on Wednesday, and two on Saturday.
- Ergs on Tuesday
- Ut2+ gym Thursday and Friday

Marlow Regatta summary and results:
On Saturday our SM 8+ had great success at Marlow Regatta, winning the Tier 3 Student 8+ category and competing in the H final.
We’re excited to see what’s to come for their crew with Henley qualifiers coming up later this week.
