This Monday we're raising a glass to one of our own. ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿป

After almost five years as a dedicated member and valued Committee member of the Budokwai, Jana is heading back to the States. She will be greatly missed โ€” both on and off the mat.

If you'd like to join us to wish her safe travels, come along for drinks after Monday's class. All welcome.

Jana โ€” it's been a privilege.

We hope to see you again soon. ๐Ÿ™

What a Friday night at the Budokwai! ๐Ÿฅ‹

We were honoured to host Sensei Gneo โ€” 8th Dan JKA, Chief Instructor of Belgium and Chief Instructor of Europe โ€” for a very special class that drew a great turnout.

An hour and a half masterclass on kata Jion using specific Jion kihon drills, bunkai and self-defence applications and Senseiโ€™s wisdom to deepen our understanding of the kata. Fantastic from start to finish. ๐Ÿ‘

Afterwards, the group headed to the King's Arms to watch Spain v Belgium. Sensei Gneo was very gracious about that. ๐Ÿ˜„โšฝ

Thank you Sensei Gneo โ€” we hope to see you again soon.
