Your reminder that ALL MOVEMENT COUNTS

It’s not ‘only’ 10 minutes
It still counts if all you did was 5 minutes of exercise
And yeah of course it also counts if you hit the gym for an hour

But there is no minimum standard you need to hold yourself to, especially when that standard is what’s holding you back from even starting✨

Make sure you follow for more quick tips🫶🏽

Your 10 second fitness tip of the day✨

One massive salad doesn’t make you healthy
And one ‘bad’ meal doesn’t make you a failure

The important thing is your averages over time, not what you do on any one single day

Stop wasting your time stressing over each individual day, and instead start zooming out and looking at the bigger picture

But Phoebe BiG pHaRmA just want all our money🥴

The ‘wellness’ industry brings in far more money than big pharma…

Not to mention, the NHS is literally crumbling due to a lack of funding…

So you do the maths

I think, actually, doctors do want you to know their advice

and unlike an influencer online pushing their new supplement line, your gp isn’t tryna sell you anything

So please start using your critical thinking skills when you see posts like this online. If something was legitimate health advice doctors wouldn’t be gatekeeping it, and there would be evidence that goes further than a 5* review on a shady website🫶🏽

Shifting goals from how you look to how you feel isn’t as simple as it sounds

Weight loss comes with clear metrics; numbers to follow, specific targets to aim for, visible changes week to week

training for non-aesthetic reasons doesn’t always have that

It’s why so many women feel dragged back towards weight loss despite it not being their true goal anymore

they lose momentum and excitement because they’re not getting feedback from set metrics

That leads to falling off track and losing the consistency they’ve built

this isn’t about being more disciplined though, it starts with being able to view progress in a different light

Because when progress no longer looks like seeing the number on the scale go down, you’ve got to find a different focus - that could be your strength, your mood or energy levels, how you feel about food

Which, whilst important and incredible goals, are not always so tangible, and may fluctuate a lot, which is why they feel harder to stay motivated for

but that doesn’t mean progress isn’t being made, or that your hard work isn’t worth it

If deep down you know weight loss isn’t your number one goal right now, but are struggling to step away from it

message me ‘change’ and let’s chat about how I can help🌸

*sighs in high cortisol*

There is a LOT of disordered eating wrapped up as discipline in the form of bodybuilding shows and photoshoots in the fitness industry

It is everywhere.

And when someone is saying how after thinking about a chocolate cookie for weeks but not allowing themselves any because they’re prepping for a photo shoot, but then in a moment of weakness they buy some

Only to end up throwing them in the bin the next morning because they regret that decision and know that if they have them in the house they won’t be able to control themselves…

That’s not willpower or discipline, that’s a problem.

And it’s even more of a problem when there’s children growing up in that environment too, because kids are like sponges, they pick up on these things even if you don’t discuss them directly

If you can’t even keep something in the house because you lack the ability to navigate your urges and cravings, in my opinion you should not be dieting.

Because it’s these scenarios that lead to the inevitable binge eating cycles.

It finally becomes too much to handle, and then instead of those cookies being thrown away, the entire pack is consumed rapidly and in secret, starting a shame spiral that’s ‘made up for’ it with even further restriction.

Now I’m not necessarily talking about those who have never tried to make changes to their diet before - in *some* very specific circumstances, removing certain foods from the house *might* be useful.

But when fitness professionals or influencers, who have dieted on and off for years for various goals still can’t handle having some cookies in the house… that’s where I see a big problem

The majority of fat loss advice on social media these days is unbelievably toxic. And it’s also unbelievably easy to get sucked into that side of the algorithm, where you begin seeing so much of that content that it becomes normal in your mind

But it’s not.

When your thoughts are preoccupied by foods you can’t eat 24/7 for weeks on end, that’s your body telling you that something needs to change.

And I hope my page can help you see some sense among the toxicity🌸
