Grateful for such a great bunch of ladies thoroughly enjoying our traditional “Mulled Wine Tournament” our courts played really well and our competitors even better! Well done everyone. Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄

2023 TLTC Championship finals : Danny Mason/Alex Kotecha received the winners salvers with a 7-5, 6-4 v Cosmo Tomlinson/Oscar Clarke. The boys started off nervously but had picked up towards game 5 of first set where there were some moments of brilliance bringing the score from 1-4 to 5-4 (Cosmo/Oscar) but despite the close rallies Alex and Danny took the first set 7-5. The 2nd set started well for Alex and Danny however quite a few unforced errors (whether it was lack of energy or loss of momentum) the score went to 5-3 with Danny serving for the match … 2 match points oh no …. more nerves taking over and alas Danny/Alex find themselves at
4 -5 with Cosmo serving… what ended up being the last game of the set displayed more energies and will to do well than the rest of the set bringing Alex/Danny to the final win of 6-4! Well done boys 👏👏👏👏 to all 4 of you… loads to learn from this encounter….

Saying goodbye to a valuable member of our Junior Coaching Team Maximilian Johnson. We will miss you Max and wish you the very best of luck pursuing your dream in Germany. Smiles all around after a joyful Mullef Wine Yournament where 16 participants had competed in 20 minute timed matches and earned their Mulled Wine and festive food! Well done everyone so proud of you 👏

8/12/2021 :- A great day was had by all … “Mulled Wine Tournament 2021”!! We are so so grateful to be able to go ahead with our annual tradition especially after yesterday’s storm! How splendid to see everyone playing..the Christmas spirit brought laughter and joy to all involved and made me so so proud that my passion of tennis is shared… merry Christmas everyone have a fantabulous time stay safe and keep well!

Really saddened to hear of the passing of Prince Philip. I hope the Duke of Edinburgh awards shine brightly, giving many more young people the chance to develop skills for life and work, for years to come. It’s been absolutely amazing to see so many involved with these fantastic awards at our club and I have no doubt that there will be many more to come. RIP
