What a moment this weekend.

We are so proud of our teacher Hannah Storey, who represented Exhale by leading the standing Pilates class at Knockaloe Farm on the Isle of Man this weekend — the very site where Joseph Pilates began shaping his method while interned there during the First World War.

Alongside almost 2,800 participants, the class officially broke the Guinness World Record for the most people performing a standing roll-down together. A brilliant, full-circle moment for Pilates history.

Huge thanks to and Ruby for inviting us to be part of it, and to our teachers Ellie and Isabelle for their support on the day.

Keeping Joseph Pilates legacy alive - Exhale style 💃

“Christ alive - I love Classical Mat. Deeply humbling, deeply delicious.” Overheard at our Oysho event at the Serpentine this week.

What a start to Wednesday morning - a Classical Mat class in Hyde Park, taught by Gaby, in partnership with

So good to meet people new to Exhale, and to catch up with clients who’ve been with us for years — all on mats, side by side, in the iconic Serpentine.

We still can’t get over 900+ people on the waitlist. So we’re on the hunt for a bigger venue and keep your eyes peeled for more Exhale events coming very soon.

Meet Gaby 👋

We’ve had so many new followers so we thought it’s about time to share our Founder Gaby’s story and the history of Exhale.

And for those of you already familiar with Gaby - she is back in London(!) which means you’ll be seeing a lot more of her over the coming months.

With this, our new ‘Exhale Founder Series’ has landed.

Tune in each Friday to hear insights from Gaby - from teacher training tips to building Exhale, what she’s learnt over the years and insights we never knew about our founder.

And, if there is anything you want to ask Gaby - drop us a message. We’d love to hear from you! 💌

Stronger in her mid-40s than ever before.

Sinead has been working out for years, ashtanga yoga and a regular at the gym.

Neither made her feel as strong and connected as Classical Pilates has.

Sinead’s proof that it’s not about pushing harder, it’s about trusting the system. Classical Pilates, done consistently, meets your body exactly where it is and builds from there.

That’s the difference between a trend and a method.

It’s always interesting hearing what people thought Pilates was before they tried it.

Particularly the men.

Some thought it would be stretching.
Some thought it would be easy.
Some weren’t entirely sure what it was at all.

The irony, of course, is that Pilates was created by a man.

Joseph Pilates developed the method as a complete system for building strength, control, mobility and resilience in the body.

Over the years, perceptions have changed. The method hasn’t.

Watching these conversations reminded me just how quickly opinions change once people experience the work for themselves.

Usually somewhere around The Hundred.
