Zafiri Global Companion for Endurance Athletes - City guides, hotels and bike hire for people who run, cycle and swim

Zafiri covers and comments on topics at the intersection of endurance, infrastructure and environment. A premium offering allows subscribers to access two additional sections of the websites: City Guides and Trips. City Guides outline and map out the best places to run, cycle and swim in cities around the world, as well as linking subscribers to convenient places for healthy food and a good night’s sleep. So far there are guides for London, Rome and San Francisco and a 7-day free trial is available (November 2017). Zafiri Trips are weekends specifically tuned for athletes, typically a pair of nights at a vetted accommodation within good terrain for training. Zafiri plays a part in arranging a modest discount with the operator and bringing together a loose and optional order of events. Trips will take place at the same location two to three times per year, to allow for some seasonal variation.

Nairobi's south-western suburb of Karen is studded by two properties from Hemingways.

Located down a quiet lane on the eastern side of the suburb is Eden Residence, the more discreet of the pair, oozing a casual charm and retreat for travellers passing through the capital en route to Kenya's wilder corners.
