Trains run 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month Apr-Oct. We are a volunteer group committed to operating the 7 1/4" gauge railway in Lodge Farm Park, Romford.

All money taken going towards the running costs of the club, We are a social club running and maintaining the 7 1/4" gauge railway in Lodge Farm Park. Thanks to the support of the Friends of the park and the support of Havering Council we now are able to offer rides nearly half a mile long.

Our next running day is this Sunday - 6th September. Trains run 11am - 4pm for £2.50 per seat.

We don't run every Sunday as the line and locomotives need a bit of TLC. As you go through the ivy tunnel you may notice a new central tube fitted. This is because the ivy has started to pull the end hoops over.
We also put in some ballast to level the track up further up and David is back in service with new batteries.
Hope to see you all Sunday.

Trains running Sunday 11am-4pm. Usual fare of £2.50 cash/card or online if you prefer.

To the usual questions that come up.
- Lodge Farm Park - in Romford - look it up.
- £2.50 per person - 2 and under free with adult
- Online - https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/ticket/5jlupeFVGu
- Can I pay by card - it literally says so in the listing.
- Where do trains depart from. Lower station follow the track
- Why don't you run every day? We are volunteers and this is our hobby. Not a business.
- "I am in the park, why aren't you running trains". See point above.
- "Can my 3yr old travel unaccompanied" No, we prefer children to be junior school age to travel unaccompanied.
- Can my dog come on the train? Smaller dogs on a lap are ok but after an incident last running day, a larger stressed dog is not appropriate.
- How long is the train ride - 772m about 7 minutes actually moving.
- When is the next train? - usually within 10 minutes.
- £2.50 is a lot - so is our insurance, running costs and the costs of the trains. You can be on over £20k worth of train
- "I want a sit in coach, it is safer" - both types of coach are safe but for small wriggly children a sit astride coach with the child between the legs is far safer. If sit in coach is full you can wait until for the next one.
- Why don't you have more sit in coaches? If you want to buy one and donate it to the club they are £2730 each with a 6 month lead time. https://www.rideonrailways.co.uk/sevengauge/page17.html

Hope this answers all the questions that come up.
