We are Streatham’s well-kept secret – a friendly, competitive and social tennis club set among houses between the High Road and Tooting Bec Common.

We are a recreational tennis club, with strong community links and a lively social section. We've been here since 1924 but we had a complete rebuild in 1998-99 as a result of a Sport England National Lottery grant. Woodfield Grove Tennis Club has 3 cushioned acrylic tennis courts plus a further macadam court, all of which are floodlit so play is possible throughout the year up until 10 pm at night

The weather looks pretty good on Sunday ... the captains have their lineups sorted ... the players are all raring to go ... who are you rooting for?

So here are the National League rules: Each match consists of 6 rubbers .... 4 singles and 2 doubles. The highest-rated player has to play at number 1 singles and doubles too if playing both. At the end of 6 matches, the team with the most victories wins the match. If there is a tie we are in for an exciting shootout

Home Team: WGTC Men's 2 / Away Team: WGTC Men's 1

Here is the lineup
Singles Rubber 1 - Home: Brian O'Neill (6.2) vs Away: Freddie Levett (7.2)
Singles Rubber 2 - Home: Nick Ford (7.2) vs Away: Aiden Doyle (7.2)
Singles Rubber 3 - Home: Ben Davies (7.2) vs Away: Matt Chivers (9.2)
Singles Rubber 4 - Home: Ben Rowley (10.2) vs Away: Toby Bank (9.2)

Doubles experts Joe Thompson (10.2) and Ajay John (8.2) come in for the doubles for the home and away teams respectively. The pairings will be revealed on Sunday after the singles.

We would be starting with 3 singles rubbers followed by 2 doubles and 1 singles. This is going to be a fun watch. So come down and root for your favourite team.
