I realised an introduction from me is long overdue 😊

I’m Katherine - mum of two, dog mum, lover of good food, long walks, time with friends, and founder of TVSD.

I started dancing at three years old and later trained with the Royal Academy of Dance before opening TVSD back in 2008.

I’ve always felt incredibly lucky to do something I genuinely love for a living. Teaching has always come naturally to me, and one of the most rewarding parts of the job is watching children and adults grow in confidence. I love creating an environment where people feel comfortable, supported and welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.

Since having my own children, my role within the school has changed. I’ve stepped back significantly from teaching and the day-to-day running of the school, building a team that I am incredibly proud of and who allow me to be present for my family too.

What matters most to me now isn’t just the dancing.

It’s the friendships that are formed, the confidence that grows, the memories that are made, and creating a community where people feel they belong.

We love a bit of fun here at TVSD, and being right in the heart of the home of tennis, we always bring it into the studio each summer!

During the week commencing 29th June, we’ll be teaching some fun‑tastic tennis‑ography at the end of each class… and you can even create your own!
