We are absolutely over the moon with Pyjamas and Fred Eastwood. The horse did not stop stepping the whole way round - a very emotional watch, with both happy and sad tears.

A horse with so much presence, only highlighted the huge presence we’ve lost ringside. John Chicken, my Grandpa, would have been absolutely over the moon watching his beloved Pyjamas step like that around the ring. He adored this horse and I can only imagine how proud he would have been to see him stepping around that ring the way he did. It was one of those moments where you so desperately wish he could have been there to see it for himself, but it also felt like a little piece of him was there with us.

Yesterday also marked 10 years since we lost my Grandma, Tania Chicken, so it was an especially poignant and difficult milestone for our family. Having a day like this, surrounded by the horses, our incredible team and all the people who loved and knew Grandpa, made that milestone just a little easier to bear ❤️
