FHHV had three representatives, Christine, Lloyd and Susannah, taking part in the in the Irish Chase the Sun last weekend. Joining 300 other riders gathered in Belfast to watch the sun rise over the dockyards where the Titanic was built. Their mission was to cross Ireland to watch the sun set in the west in Enniscrone at 10:15pm - 340Ks away with a mere 4,000m of climbing in between for the annual challenge on the solstice Saturday.
Multiple high points included wonderful quiet lanes, beautiful rugged scenery, Loughs Erne & Melvin, and the camaraderie of allegiances on the road, rolling with new groups and making new friends.
Well done in completing the ride and seeing the sunset, and thanks for representing FHHV!
