A little belated, but huge congratulations to Mark Machado on reaching 150 appearances for OPRFC!

Achieving the milestone while captaining the Vets in their fixture against Finsbury Park, Mark has been part of the club since the very beginnings back in the mid to late 2000s, holding the record for the most Saints appearances - 108.

Vowing to retire a few seasons ago, Mark has contunued to make the occasional turnout for the club - a fantastic scrummager and organiser, one of those who may have persuaded you to turn out for the club on a Saturday...

Congratulations once again, Mark!

𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠

Our last award goes to Michael Jobling, who wins the 1st XV Player of the Season.

Most at home at full back, Michael has proved to be one of - if not the most - versatile players in the whole club, able to play anywhere in the back line and proving to be adept in every position.

He provided perhaps the greatest moment of the season - a last gasp try against Beaconsfield in a thrilling match at Perivale, sparking wild scenes of jubilation in West London.

Near ever present since joining in 2023, this is a richly deserved award win for Jobbers.

Cathal Sheehan wins the 1st XV Player's Player of the Season!

A number of statement performances from the Twisters captain across the 23 games played, we are blessed to have such a talent at OPRFC.

18 tries in 2025/26 may well be proof enough of how good he is, but ultimately, a player with a tremendous all round game. On the road to having a glittering career.

A defeat in the Plate Final for the OPs Galacticos at the Summer Social Sevens!

A strong group saw the OPs lose two matches by two and four points respectively before a handsome win against OG Sevens, progressing to the Plate Final where they were beaten by Millfield Old Boys on Saturday in Old Deer Park.

No silverware this time round but great performances regardless and a good way to end the season as well as prepare for the next.

We return our focus to this year's award winners - Most Improved player going to Stefan Tsang!

Stefan has been a commanding presence in the Twisters pack this season, completing his first full campaign of 1st XV rugby for the club following a return from serious injury.

He also provided one of the highlights of 2025/26 - a 50 metre gallop to score against Grasshoppers in a 79-19 win back in February.

Many more memorable moments to come from the man, we reckon.

Priorians have a team competing at the Summer Social 7s in Richmond on Saturday, playing as the Galacticos having entered the Men's Social 7s 2.

Congratulations to Maynard Ahukanna who wins the Man of Steel award for 2025/26!

Making 17 appearances this season across the 1st and 2nd XVs - and becoming the most capped forward in OPs history in the process - the man is a one off.

Still playing well into his 50s, Maynard is a genuine inspiration.

We kick of our End of Season Awards winners with the Clubman of the Season, which goes to Josh Chippendale!

Returning to the pitch this year after a lengthy injury layoff, Josh has also made an impact off the pitch, forming an important part of the social team and the wider club in general ; a deserved recipient.

Last Friday saw OPRFC have their End Of Season Dinner & Awards at the Duke's Head in Putney, which was completely packed out! A top night and a big thank you to our Social Secretaries for organising.
