Yes Kam, that's was me in this music video long ago

I chose to do it because it felt like an opportunity to bring the spirit of martial arts into a different space—combining discipline, creativity, and movement in a way that challenges me. For me, martial arts has never been confined to the dojang—it travels with me wherever intention, effort, and presence matter. Every experience, big or small, becomes part of the practice if approached with awareness.

Whether in the dojang or in a moment like that, my goal is the same: to move with purpose, to act with care, and to contribute something meaningful. I wasn’t seeking attention—I just wanted to try applying what I’ve learned in a way that might support someone else’s vision.

Martial arts reminds me that confidence and humility can coexist, though I’m still learning how to balance them. True skill isn’t something to show off—it’s something to use responsibly and in service of others. If that moment offered any value, I hope it serves as a reminder that the lessons and spirit of martial arts extend far beyond training—they show up everywhere, in every experience, when approached with awareness and intention. It’s always an honor to be asked to do something like that, and I strive to meet those opportunities with the same focus, discipline, and mindful energy I bring to my practice as we all should do.

Best wishes.
🙂

Like wood, we grow slowly, rooted in patience.
Through discipline, that growth becomes strength.
True power is not forged — it is cultivated, step by step, move by move.

A Warrior’s New Year Message – 2026

My goal for Codner’s Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan Academy International is for it to flow like a mountain waterfall—not to stand stagnant like a muddy pond. I will be working hard to create this flow throughout every branch of Codner’s Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan.

We can only grow if we stand united. The responsibility for creating new black belts and future instructors rests with me as the founder—not out of ego, but to ensure our standards remain high, our direction remains clear, and our growth remains healthy. These leaders must be developed not in low quality, but to the highest standards, always moving toward mastery, which is a never-ending journey.

As we step into 2026 — the Year of the Golden Horse — we do not enter quietly.

We enter as warriors.

A true warrior is not defined by trophies, belts, or applause.
A warrior is defined by what they carry inside when no one is watching:

Discipline when it is hard,
Courage when fear appears,
Humility when strength grows, and
Perseverance when quitting would be easier.

Every student of Codner’s Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan carries this spirit.

This year, let your training go beyond the dojang.
Let it shape:

How you stand in adversity,
How you treat others,
How you rise after failure, and
How you protect what is right.

The Golden Horse does not hesitate.
It moves forward with power, balance, and purpose.
So must we.

In 2026:

Train not just to be strong, but to be unbreakable in spirit.

Strive not just for victory, but for honor in every action.

Remember that every challenge is a test—and every test is an opportunity to grow.

When the year becomes difficult, remember who you are.
When doubt speaks, answer with discipline.
When fear stands in your way, step forward anyway.

You are part of something greater than yourself.

You carry the legacy of the masters of old—a path of courage, self-respect, and true fighting spirit.

Walk this year with your head high, your heart strong, and your spirit calm.

Train hard. Strive to live honorably. Stand ready.

I wish you all a Happy New Year, and may our family and friends forever be blessed.
2026 belongs to those who never give up.

Love and best wishes always,

Master T. Codner

To the entire Codner’s Taekwondo MooDukKwan family — in Poland, in the United Kingdom, and throughout every branch that carries our name,

During my recent visit to Poland, I stood in the dojang among students, parents, black belts, and families who carry the heart of our organisation with pride and honour. What I witnessed filled me with strength and deep admiration.

From the youngest child to the most senior black belt, each of you reflects the spirit that has guided Codner’s Taekwondo MooDukKwan from its earliest days:
discipline, loyalty, humility, courage, and unity.

But above all, I witnessed something truly special — a family that has grown not by chance, but by the tireless dedication of those who lead it.

Today, I want to speak with clarity and sincerity:

Codner’s Taekwondo MooDukKwan Poland stands strong because of the relentless work of Chief Instructor Sabonim Kobrzcki.

For over a decade, he has invested his heart, energy, and life into building this school from the ground up. His original students, who stood by him from the earliest days, helped turn a vision into a strong foundation that now carries our name with honour.

To the senior black belts who have given years of effort, to the junior black belts on their journey, and to the Cho Dan Bo preparing for their next great challenge — your progress strengthens our future.

To the parents who support their children, and the students who give their sweat, time, and spirit — you are the lifeblood of our school.

And let us acknowledge a truth that every great family, every lasting organisation, and every martial art shares:

“In every great organisation, there will be moments when the path becomes uneven,
but it is the duty of a Grandmaster to restore harmony, guide the family forward,
and keep the bonds of unity unbreakable.”

Students stop attending for many reasons — work, life changes, moving away.
We experience losses and we celebrate births.

We face disappointments, we grow older, and circumstances shift around us.

Yet something remarkable happens over the years:

Many return — older, wiser, stronger.

Children who once trained on now come back as adults with families of their own.
Some return to resume their journey.
Others return so their own children can begin theirs.

This is the living cycle of a true martial arts family — not one that fades, but one that evolves, renews, and deepens with time.

And through all of this, I have always lived by one simple truth:.

“I do my best — that is all that matters.
For when a person gives their best, no opinion can diminish their worth,
and no voice can weaken their spirit.”

This is the heart of our way-- to stand firm, work hard, and stay true to ourselves.

Every great journey has struggles.
Every road has setbacks.
But these challenges do not weaken us — they define us.

Codner’s Taekwondo MooDukKwan has never walked an easy path.
But we have always walked a true one.

This is our essence :

We do not step back.
We do not break.
We rise, we adapt, and we move forward until the way becomes clear again.

So let the world understand:

Codner’s Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan is not uncertain.
It is not divided.
It is not fragile.

It is one family, bound by shared purpose, shared standards, and shared pride — whether in Poland, the United Kingdom, or any branch that carries our name.

This is not my school alone.
This is our school.
Our journey.
Our legacy — entrusted to all who train under the banner of Codner’s Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan.

As your Founder and Grandmaster, I want you to feel this truth:

You are valued.
You are respected.
You are part of something greater than yourselves.
And together, we are unbreakable.

Let us continue forward with the courage and spirit I witnessed in Poland — united in purpose, strong in heart, and always honouring the art and the family that binds us.

With pride and respect,

Grandmaster T. Codner

Hello Charles M,

Thank you for asking about the letters after my name on my business card. D.H.B. stands for Decent Human Being. I use it not to claim perfection, but to remind myself—and perhaps others—that life is a daily practice of trying to do right, act with respect, and improve as a person.

I’m not perfect, and I don’t pretend to be. But every day, I strive to conduct myself with integrity, humility, and kindness. Being a D.H.B. is my way of acknowledging that personal journey—and of keeping myself accountable to it.

Some people ask, “Why use D.H.B. when you’re already known as Grandmaster Codner?” Being a Grandmaster is a recognition of my training, experience, and achievements in martial arts. D.H.B.—Decent Human Being—is about my personal journey as a person, which is separate from any title or accolade. One measures skill; the other measures character. Both matter, but in very different ways. Titles can show what you’ve done. D.H.B. reminds me—and perhaps others—what I strive to be every single day.

In a world where so much focus is placed on titles, achievements, and external validation, this is my reminder that what truly matters is how we treat ourselves and others, and how we grow as human beings.

Thank you for your curiosity and for taking a moment to reflect on that with me.

Warm regards,
Grandmaster Trevor Codner, D.H.B.
