Have you ever re-accessed your success?? š
Yes, I preach about strength training and correct running structure, but my first marathon block wasnāt something I did on my own!
I had people who kept me going when the training felt rough, when I questioned why I signed up in the first place, and didnāt want to carry on!
And sometimes youāre so lost in your training bubble you forget to even consider it all!
And thatās exactly why I coach the way I do now!
Not just giving sessions, and giving advice⦠but actually supporting people through it, being in your corner when life throws a curveball!
Because the running can be the easy part, itās everything around it that makes you quit or carry on!
Good people make you better!

Standing on the start line of my first marathon in the Lake District, I remember thinking: āThis actually wouldnāt be possible without strength training.ā

The hills, the distance, the patience, and purpose it takes to get there is tough, but the feeling of confidence (and a little nerves) at the start line was unmatched! All of it felt possible because my body was stronger, more resilient, and ready to carry me further than it ever had before!
Marathon training blocks are tough, especially first time round! Week after week youāre probably achieving a distance PB, so if your legs and body canāt handle that, youāre going to hit a sticking point!
Strength training didnāt just help me get a time Iām proud of⦠it made the whole process feel sustainable, and manageable!

You donāt need more time, you need better priorities! š

Most runners are training hard, but few are training smart!
Strength training isnāt just for gym rats, itās the missing link between effort and efficiency, and when you build power and control, every stride costs less energy!
Quicker. Less pain. Fewer injuries. Thatās the goal.
